That was the JAM back in the day. One of those classic 'pick-up in a club' songs in the 70's when the guy was asking the woman what was her sign (lol)

The Floaters were 'one-hit wonders' from Detroit in the 1970's, but OH WHAT A SONG!

The version you posted was the American radio edit which was sped up to shorten its' playtime. The original 'Float On' should run 6 minutes long and gives Ralph, Charles, Paul, and Larry time to introduce their signs before they sing, and lots more time describing the kind women they really like.

I always get a kick out of the part where Larry (Cunningham) exclaims 'Cancer!'
