Michael Jackson Phone

Now that the King of Pop is gone, everybody's scrambling to come up with Michael Jackson stuff, and so it should be no surprise to be a Michael Jackson phone appear in China, in Gold color, no less. It looks rather ugly to be honest, but if you're a big MJ fan, it might appeal to you, do bear in mind that it's not original licensed stuff (of course).

THIS IS IT IS #1 ALBUM IN AMERICA AND 16 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD

New York, NY – “MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT” made motion picture history as the highest grossing concert film of all time. And now, the two-disc album companion to the movie Michael Jackson’s This is It released by Sony Music’s Epic Records makes its first week debut in the #1 spot of the Billboard Top 200 album chart, as well as the Soundtrack album chart.
U.S. sales of the album - which features new hit song “This is It” – totaled 373,100 units this week according to Nielsen Soundscan – this figure does not include significant sales from non-traditional retailers. Sales figures from other parts of the world are still being tallied although the album did hit #1 in 16 other countries including Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the Middle East and Colombia and Top-3 in the UK, Australia, Argentina, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain. A simultaneous #1 album and a #1 documentary film has not happened since 1971 when the Rolling Stones did it with the album Sticky Fingers and movie Gimme Shelter.

Michael Jackson albums now occupy the top five spots of Billboard catalog album chart at #1, #3 and #4; his Number Ones album is this year’s best-selling overall album year to date as of this week. Throughout his career, Michael Jackson has spent a total of 51 weeks at #1 on the Billboard album chart. Only The Beatles and Elvis Presley have spent more weeks at the top. His last #1 was Invincible in 2001 although Thriller hit the top of the Billboard catalog album chart last October.

Disc one features the original album masters of some of Michael's biggest hits such as "Billie Jean," "Smooth Criminal," "Human Nature," and "Thriller" arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film. The disc ends with two versions of "This Is It," the original and an orchestral version. Disc two offers fans a rare listen to the early demo versions of classics "She's Out Of My Life," "Wanna Be Startin'," "Somethin'," and "Beat It." This disc also features a recently discovered spoken word poem from Michael Jackson entitled "Planet Earth."

Michael Jackson's This Is It also includes a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring exclusive photos of Michael from his last rehearsal.

Kindergarten kids pay tribute to Michael Jackson

YOU can be sure of some excitement and delightful entertainment when young children come together to stage a performance. In fact, the colourful costumes and impromptu antics never fail to elicit attention and cheer from audiences.

Close to 220 children from the Villamaria Good Shepherd Kindergarten and Nursery performed their annual concert, called “The Musical” at the school’s premises in Medan Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, recently.
The opening act from the playgroup children warmed the hearts of the audience with their song, aptly called Salam (Hello).

Dressed colourfully in various national costumes, the tots came out to welcome parents and guests in native languages in Malay, Chinese, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Danish and Hawaiian. Although there were some fumbles and hesitation at times, the young children exuded confidence, calm and composure.

The nursery children performed the next item, “Disney World”.

It was wonderful to see little ones celebrating old-time cartoons favourites and dancing to the tunes of Heigh-Ho (Snow White) and The Bare Necessities (The Jungle Book). The five-year-old children in KG Blue, Red and Green performed Chim Chim Ee Ree (Mary Poppins), Do-re-mi (Sound of Music) and Shall We Dance (The King and I). They charmed the crowds with their vigorous dance style and movement.

“The concert is a reflection of how we nurture the children. We want them to be confident and be themselves,” said Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepherd executive director and Supervisor for the Villamaria Good Shepherd Kindergarten and Nursery Theresa Symons.

Songs from the movie Blockbusters by the Pre One classes grabbed the most attention as they performed fast moves from the movie Grease. (Grease Lightning and You’re The One That I Want) and Saturday Night Fever (Night Fever). The boys donned dark glasses, jeans and leather jackets to reflect the fashionable 60s.

Next up was Jai Ho from the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

However, the highlight of the show was the “Tribute to Michael Jackson”.
The crowd roared and cheered in delight as students from Pre One Blue leaped on stage dressed in signature Michael Jackson style with white gloves and socks, black hat and white shirt.

The crowd was enthralled watching the children trying their best to portray the legendary pop star as they danced to Jackson’s hit song Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough. It was a crowd-puller, melting the hearts of the audience with their charming smiles and delightful singing.
A big appreciation went to music teacher Shirley Wingrove and Principal Diana Eng for organising the show.

The school also managed to raise RM8,815 through the sale of food and donations for survivors of the earthquake in Padang, Indonesia earlier this month.

Joe Jackson seeks stipend from Michael's estate

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson's father is seeking an allowance from his son's estate to help cover expenses that exceed $15,000 a month, according to court documents filed Friday.

The request seeking an unspecified amount for Joe Jackson was filed by lawyer Brian Oxman, who said there was no apparent reason for the administrators of the estate to not seek an allowance for the Jackson family patriarch.

Michael Jackson's 2002 will, however, omitted any mention of his father. The two had an often-strained relationship, and Michael Jackson said at one point that he would get physically sick — as a child and as an adult — at the sight of his father.

The singer's private trust calls for money to be paid to his mother, Katherine, his three young children, and various charities.

A judge has approved more than $26,000 in payments to Katherine Jackson each month, and a $60,000 monthly payment for the care of the children.

The latest court documents said Joe Jackson receives a $1,700 monthly Social Security payment and had relied on his son for support for many years.

"He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support," the filing stated.

"It was quite surprising to learn of the request," Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the administrators of Jackson's estate, said in a statement. "Mr. Jackson's petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael's estate."

Joe Jackson suffers from diabetes and had a stroke in 1998, the filing stated.

A former steelworker, he managed and trained his children and organized the Jackson 5. He has been married to Katherine Jackson for 50 years, but he lists his home in Las Vegas. She lives at a family home in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles.

The filings are inconsistent in several places, listing Joe Jackson's age as 80 in one place and 81 in another. A declaration states his monthly expenses exceed $20,000 a month, but an itemized list only includes slightly more than $15,000.

That list includes $1,200 a month on rent for his Las Vegas home; $2,500 to eat out; $1,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations; $2,000 on air travel and $3,000 on hotels.

A phone message left for Oxman was not immediately returned.
A judge on Friday denied Joe Jackson's petition for an expedited hearing on the matter.

A hearing is scheduled for early 2010 at which time the payments to Katherine Jackson may be re-evaluated.

Today while i was at work where i teach i experience something similar. There was this little kid he was indian desent real cute with a hair line like one of those baby apes from planet of the apes in an adorable way though.
Anyway he started out singing 'beat it' to his classmates, then he was encouraged to show what he got. So he went in the middle of the classroom and did a meddlily of MJ's song moon walk and all. Me and the other 2 Teachers that were there were so tickled by the rendition. The entire class gathered around him and was clapping and singing to all Michael's song.

One of the female Teacher, started to take the kid around to the other Teachers in the school, to show him off. It was allot of fun, Mike's music has such power.

how many weeks did elvis and beatles take the #1 spot? (btw i know it's awkward sentence structure but just bear with me :p)

Michael Jackson's father seeks allowance from estate
By Alan Duke, CNN
November 7, 2009 -- Updated 0200 GMT (1000 HKT)

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Michael Jackson's father wants a judge to order the pop star's estate to pay him a monthly allowance, according to papers filed in court Friday.

Joe Jackson, the 80-year-old Jackson family patriarch, was not named in Michael Jackson's 2002 will, which left his wealth to his mother, Katherine Jackson, his three children and undisclosed charities.

Brian Oxman, Joe Jackson's lawyer, filed the petition Friday asking for him to be included in the family allowance.

The matter will be considered Tuesday when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff convenes the next hearing on matters related to the probate of Jackson's will, Oxman said.

The filing does not publicly specify how much Jackson's father is requesting.

Howard Weitzman, one of the lawyers for the estate's special administrators, said Joe Jackson's request "will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael's estate."

"It was quite surprising to learn of the request," Weitzman said.

Michael Jackson's mother and his three children receive a court-ordered allowance from the estate totaling more than $86,000 a month, according to court documents. The money is in addition to the maintenance of the home -- which is owned by the estate -- in Encino, California, where Katherine Jackson lives with her grandchildren, the papers said.

Although Joe and Katherine Jackson are still married, Joe Jackson lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joe Jackson is credited with launching and guiding his family's show business success, but Michael Jackson had publicly criticized his father's parenting skills.

Tuesday's hearing could also see a new challenge by the Jackson family of the 2002 will.

Michael Jackson died June 25, but the probate of his will has been slowed by a series of court squabbles between Katherine Jackson's lawyers and the two men now in control of the estate.

John Branca and John McClain, who are named as executors in the will, were appointed temporary special administrators to run the estate until the process is completed.

Katherine Jackson replaced the lawyers representing her in the estate case last month with attorney Adam Streisand. Another Jackson family lawyer said the change was made because the case was about to take a "new direction" based on "new evidence" uncovered by the family.

Attorney Londell McMillan pointed to questions about the authenticity of the signature on Michael Jackson's will.

Tuesday's estate hearing will be Streisand's first appearance in the case.

A trial has been tentatively set for December to decide any challenge of the will, although Streisand said last month he expected it to be set for early next year.

The A&E network announced Friday that "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" television series will launch with two hours of programming on Sunday night, December 13.

Four of Michael Jackson's brothers -- all except Randy Jackson -- are involved in the show "as they prepare for a Jackson Five reunion, while also coming to terms with Michael's tragic loss," the network said.

An A&E programming executive said the "deeply intimate portrait will provide viewers with a raw and honest look inside a musical dynasty."
