Michael Jackson’s Family Deny Bullying Rumours

Michael Jackson’s family has dismissed reports the pop superstar "bullied" medics into supplying him with prescription drugs - insisting the singer "would not threaten anyone."

The grieving relatives, who finally laid the King of Pop to rest on Thursday night, have been rocked by allegations the star's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray told Los Angeles police Jackson "bullied and threatened" him into administering a dose of powerful anaesthetic Propofol on the day he died.

Murray is currently being investigated in connection with the star's death and could face manslaughter charges if cops find evidence linking him to the tragedy. The medic has reportedly told police he was coerced into giving the star a cocktail of drugs, admitting he was "bullied" by the Thriller hitmaker.

A police source tells British tabloid the Daily Star Sunday, "At the moment we can only speculate. Did Michael Jackson threaten to set his minders on Dr. Murray if he didn't co-operate? Or did he have some kind of hold over the doctor, with which to blackmail him into giving him the treatment he wanted?"

But a Jackson family spokesman has hit out at the claims, insisting the King of Pop would never have mis-treated his staff. The rep says, "Michael would not threaten anyone. This family maintains he was murdered."

Recently, Sonu Sood, Misti Mukherjee and Sameer Dattani teamed up together to judge the first ever Bharat and Dorris makeup and hairstyle awards 2009 at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Institute, Versova.
“Interestingly, all the three actors are thick friends and had a gala time on the occasion. They were invited to judge the mythological round.” The source goes on to add, “Also present at the occasion were Gauhar Khan, Nigar Khan, and Bobby Darling who were invited to judge the models and their makeup.”

Misti Mukherjee disclosed the news of her to pay tribute to Michael Jackson at J W Marriot on September 8. More than 200 makeup artists and hair stylists will be participating in this competition.

The jackson family fighting over Michael's memorabilia

Not so fast, La Toya

Jacksons insist she share Michael's valuable items that she grabbed not long after her brother's death

BY BILL ZWECKER Sun-Times Columnist

Given that the first Micheal Jackson memorabilia item to go on the auction block after his death snared a huge amount, the members of the King of Pop's family are making sure they all get a piece of the action.
When they learned one of Michael's sequined gloves sold for $49,000 at an Australian auction over the weekend, the superstar's siblings zeroed in on La Toya Jackson -- who quickly grabbed a ton of Michael's personal effects shortly after he died.

I've learned that the family has demanded La Toya return all the items -- so that the various articles of clothing, jewelry and other accessories (including a number of glittering gloves) can be shared equally among everyone.
An added complication is father Joe Jackson's stated desire to create a big Michael museum in Las Vegas, which he wants to jam-pack with a lot of Michael's memorabilia. ''But given the large amount of things Michael owned -- much of which he never even wore or only wore once -- there's plenty to go around,'' said a longtime Jackson family insider Sunday.

Another added tension within the family supposedly is being caused by Jermaine Jackson's attitude. After his demands for more money than his brothers quashed a deal to take over the late Danny Gans' showroom at Steve Wynn's Encore Hotel in Vegas, the other surviving Jackson brothers are said to be miffed. That deal could have brought in as much as $80 million in just the first year.
Now the Jacksons are negotiating with other, smaller venues along the Vegas Strip.

Janet Jackson -- If the Glove Fits

Posted Sep 8th 2009 1:45AM by TMZ Staff

Janet JacksonJanet Jackson has been busting her butt rehearsing for a Michael Jackson tribute at the MTV Video Awards this weekend -- and it promises to be a nipple-free affair. We think.

Ms. Jackson is set to put on a huge MJ-honoring performance featuring 20 backup dancers -- which is being put together by some of the best choreographers in the world, including Frank Gatson and Travis Payne.

According to Kryiss Grant, one of the dancers involved (who was also an usher at MJ's burial), some rehearsals have lasted 15 hours a day.

Once Janet is finished honoring her brother, Grant tells us "there won't be a dry eye in the house."

Re: The jackson family fighting over Michael's memorabilia

I think people are grasping or straws now on stories about MJ. Like marc_vivien said, they do not own anything, it's all up to Michael's estate.

Sounds like tabloid talk to me.

I know the sun is a tabloid but wasn't sure about the suntimes - never heard of that one.

Michael Jackson sends price of grave plots sky-rocketing

Michael Jackson sends price of grave plots sky-rocketing

September 08, 2009, (Splash News) - The price of grave-plots close to Michael Jackson's tomb have already sky-rocketed since the King of Pop's funeral.

A sales rep at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, says plots around Jackson's have already shot up by up to US$3,000 each.

Forest Lawn had been selling the plots in the mausoleum for US$7,000 each – but since Jackson was buried, they are now at least US$9,900.

And some holding private units there are looking for even more - with one person is asking US$34,000 for a double unit inside Jackson's mausoleum.

"We've had a tremendous response... we're weighing all of our options," the owner told US website TMZ.

Forest Lawns says celebrity deaths are bound to raise the profile of the burial spot.

"When a high-profile person comes in, it can affect the prices of the surrounding plots," the sales rep said.

I believe the kids deserve a share of the items as well as the family. La Toya and MJ were not ever really that close. She talked alot of **** on him as well as the family.

Update: Neverland Trademarks Will Go to Estate
We can relax a little.

I am told that the many trademark requests filed by Colony Capital for Neverland are not going to remain in their current state.

A source says that the Trademark filings will all be transferred to Michael Jackson’s estate. We will not be seeing toy guns or anything like the items listed in the item below with Neverland Valley Ramch.

It does sound as though Colony Capital’s efforts to exploit Michael Jackson in death are coming to an end. The Jackson executors — John Branca and John McClain — are taking firm stands on protecting Michael’s image and likeness, and his associated endeavors. There won’t be any “Heal the World” bandaids or “Remember the Time” alarm clocks either. No “Man in the Mirror” dressing tables.

On a side note, I am predicting The Beatles will occupy atleast 2/5 and 4/10 best selling albums next week in the Comprehensive album charts. With the re-release of all 14 albums digitally remastered, total sales of the bands catalogue could exceed 750,000 next week. US sales by years end could exceed 5 miilion and 12 million globally. Talking about giving MJ some competition!

Well, if I wrote sothing like this, that... the Beatles will rule the charts and they will sell more then Michael..., some of fans... were :tease:

I predict that at least the best known albums (5 of the 14) will reach at least 5 mill. each. globally.

One could argue that each album can reach at least 3 mill. x 14 = 42 mill.

... but hey, ... Elvis fans would argue that Elvis sells even more than the Beatles...

the kids deserve all his items and should have it. One day they actually might go "oh i wonder where is dad's glove etc" and they are going to want to have it. Besides, the kids will probably not give any of his things away. To the family, its just Michael's clothes, to the kids, its treasure.

I'll probably be responsible for those sales. :p
The Beatles remastered catalog - there are 3 ways to get them, and most places have sold out of the first one: Mono box set, Stereo box set, and individual stereo CDs.

Let's see what happens around Christmas with MJ and Beatles stuff...
