The Clark Sisters - You Brought the Sunshine

You made my day, You came my way
You heard me every, every time I pray
You gave me peace, You gave me grace
You put a smile upon my face

You brought the sunshine {You brought the sunshine}
In my life {Threw out the lifeline}
Threw out the lifeline (You brought the sunshine)
To save my life {Threw out the lifeline}

Since then I have known Christ
There has been such a change in my life (Uh-huh)

You made my day, You came my way
You heard me every, every time I pray
You gave me peace, You gave me grace
You put a smile upon my face

You brought the sunshine {You brought the sunshine}
In my life {Threw out the lifeline}
Threw out the lifeline (You brought the sunshine)
To save my life {Threw out the lifeline}

Jesus is the answer, breaks ever fetter
There's nothing impossible, nothing infallible
Nothing to hard for my God to work out
No matter what the problem
God can always solve 'em
Try Him today, He will brighten up your day
And He'll come your way, he will hear you when you pray

{You brought out the sunshine}
In my life {threw out the lifeline}
You threw the lifeline {You brought the sunshine}
To save my life {threw out the lifeline}

Amazing Grace, how sweet the song
That saved a wretch like me

{I'm a witness that Jesus} Anybody know Jesus
{Will make a difference in your life}
{I'm a witness} Can I get a witness {That Jesus}, anybody know Jesus
{Will make a difference in your life}
{I'm a witness} Can I get a witness {That Jesus}, anybody know Jesus
{Will make a difference in your life}

I once was lost, but now I'm found
But now, but now I see
Oh, yeah, yeah
Mmm, hmm, mmm, hmm

You made, You made my day (You brought the sunshine)
You came, You came my way (Thank You, Jesus, threw out the lifeline)
You made, You made my day (Thank You, Jesus, mmm, hmm, thank You, Jesus)
You came, You came my way (Thank You, Jesus, Thank You, Jesus, mmm, hmm)

(C)1981 (made a crossover hit in 1983 hitting the gospel, soul and dance charts)

Fantastic song:yes: I once heard Karen Clark-Sheard singing the song alone and grooved bigtime. You can probably find the clip on youtube, it should still be there.

^^ Yeah it probably won't be hard to find knowing you can find a lot of Clark Sisters (group and solo) joints on YouTube. They're kinda like the New Edition of gospel music in terms of all of them (except Denise who retired from music almost entirely to devote herself to ministry work) except all of them can SANG and none of them have had problems other than health issues that were dealt with accordingly. :yes: God blessed them women. :D

What you said^^ I don't know much about gospel artists, but I happened to love the group and esp.Karen. You already heard the Karen&Faith Evans tunes, don't you?

I don't go to church no more and wasn't born and raised in the US and didn't grow up in an environment where gospel is a part of life, but can appreciate the music. Such soulful music. I think I know why I became to love R&B and Soul when I listen to Gospel.
