After reading the title of this thread, your immediate response might be, "What is Christian apologetics?" Well, that's a very good question, and put simply its about intellectually defending Christianity, without treating Scripture and science like enemies. The word "apologetics" comes from the 18th-century Latin apologia, meaning "a formal written defense of one's opinions or conduct". A more general interpretation would be something akin to a courtroom argument.
With that in mind, there have been several prominent Christian apologists who have arrived on the scene in the last few decades, many of whom were atheists before coming to faith in Jesus. A few that I personally respect include Josh McDowell, Kent Hovind, J. Warner Wallace, Lee Strobel, and Dr. Frank Turek, who in 2004 co-wrote the cleverly-titled book I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist. I'm not asking you to agree with any of them, but if you choose to watch any of these video clips, please do so with an open mind. Thanks.
Oh, and one last thing - Before you ask, "Doesn't this kind of thing makes Christians intolerant?" The answer is "Yes, because Jesus never told His followers to be tolerant. He said we should be loving, and sometimes really loving someone requires saying no."
