Mods if this needs to be merged please do so, but I really want to see if anyone knows-

I am worried about the MJ's half of the catalogue. Does anyone know if things have been handled properly so that the catalogue goes into the "MJ family trust". I really hope so, as I would hate for MJ's portion of the revenue of the catalogue to be lost from the Michael Jackson empire.

RIP MJJ

Michael owns half of SONY/ATV catalogue, he also has his own separate music publishing company for his own music. This is all in his will, the catalogue is in the estate, it's secure.

doubt it.. Look at what RF said in this segment of Thursday's LKL:

KING: How much money does he owe? [/FONT]

FRIEDMAN: I think he owes about $400 million. This is how it breaks down. He owes $325 million dollar, $350 million dollar loan secured by his interest in the company called Sony-ATV Music, which owns the Beatles catalog.

KING: So that he could sell and wipe that out.

FRIEDMAN: You know, everybody wanted him to sell it for the whole time is had it, so that he'd have some money. And he refused to do it because he knew that was his leverage.

KING: Will it work now?

FRIEDMAN: Yes. Now, I think, I'm not a lawyer, you are, but I think the situation is that to settle the estate -- they have to sell it to Sony, by the way. That's the deal. Sony is--

KING: So that would get him out?

FRIEDMAN: That would get him out and give him a nice piece of change besides.

The catalogue is not an issue if the creditors don't make it an issue.

The thing is, Michael's estate can pay the debt off from teh money that Michael makes off mijac, SonyATV and any new works to be released.

Katherine and the kids don't need much money to live off.

Michael needed a lot of money because
- of the projects he had to fund
- staff, security, chefs
- endless frivilous lawsuits
- travel and living costs

But now all that money can be channelled towards the debt

The creditors don't profit by foreclosing as tehy lose interest payments and loans benefit through interest. They can see that Michael's works are selling well and his estate will increase in value.

But if they want to act with malice so as to wrestle control of the estate from him, then they can and this is the moment some have been waiting for.

But it will only help fuel conspiracies that they plotted to kill him so as to take the catalogue

OK - thanks. I think I understand. I'll just keep hoping for the best.

The Trust jackson set into place are still paying the loan off just as it is as long as SONY makes money. But we get these lies from this piece of garbage RF(SCUM).

This is why they murdered him. It's all about taking the Catalog. There will be lots of strings pulled to give it to SONY.

thank u - I haven't seen that b4 I've only read a transcript. I just hate to think that his death was orchestrated for the catalogue. i mean i don't want to believe that - if it were true that would be absolutely disgusting

All the money that Michael Jackson is making now after is death is enough to pay back any debt that he has according to several financial analyst. He doesn't have to sell the catalog. Besides, the Michael Jackson Trust I don't think would like to sell that catalog. But John Branca is one of the executors of the estate and I do not trust him.

:yes::yes: If Sony ends of with the other half of the Michael's portion of the catalog within the next year, I swear to God, Michael was murdered. I have always said from the beginning that every negative thing that was said about Michael in the media, every accusation that was made, you name it, it was based on Michael Jackson owning that lucrative catalog. The moment it was announced that he bought the ATV catalog is when the media coverage did a 360 degree turn on how they reported on him in a negative way and powerful people in the industry were behind it.
