Taryll Jackson Tribute to Uncle Michael "Much Too Soon"

Thank you Taryll (and the rest of your greedy family) for fucking MJ's album last December.

Your nasal voice doesn't do the song justice. Pitiful.

Although I don't usually like Taryll's voice, this was a very beautiful tribute. :)

Well in all fairness this was a tribute from Tayrll to Michael for June 25th
It probably should be taken in that spirit _ out of respect for Michael

Just want to remind everyone to watch how you express yourselves in regards to language. Its fine to criticise, it is not fine to swear and deliberatly be nasty

Thank you! Besides he supported "Much Too Soon" anyways.

"Much Too Soon" - At a very early age my Uncle taught me to appreciate and study all types of music. I remember going to the music stores with him and he would pull cd's for me "Do you know this? (Carole King... Tapestry) have you heard of them? (Bread) oh I love this...(Jim Croce's.. I have to say I love you in a song)" we would walk down the aisles of every section... it was like homework for me. He gave me a little at a time and when I was ready for more he would give me a whole new list. "There's so many styles... study it all, don't limit yourself." - I would leave the store with a wide variety with anything from Tchikovsky's Nutcracker to Queen. When we got home or in the car we would listen to it. Some songs would weaken him and touch his heart while others would make him sing and dance!! He was always teaching me and I am so thankful for all of his lessons in both music and life. - this is what came to my mind when I first heard "Much Too Soon." I love this style of music and I can appreciate it because of you. I love you MJ

It's the same usual MJJC members starting sh*t...

Michael never performed other people's songs when he wanted to pay a tribute to somebody. He always wrote his own. Just saying.

Yes, let's just pretend the Casio's had nothing to do with the Mess that the Michael Album had in controversy and sells. What a joke.

Its' nice that Taryll sang a tribute to MJ.
However, vocal wise it's a little bit disappointed.
I thought he can sing better.
This sounds like some unprofessional singer cover MJ's song.
Anyway, I guess the meaning is more important then the performance itself.

I ain't laughing!!! The greedy Jacksons started the sh!tstorm...and I dont' recall asking you to agree or disagree with me. Just sayin'.

Back to Taryll...my original comment was deleted...God knows why....Probably the truth serum was a bit too strong.

So Guess I have to reformulate my criticism and put it as nicely as I can.

This cover sucks!! But he gets an "A" for taking the time for MJ.

He might have pulled off a cover of "Money".

As if I care. And that wasn't even the point. Ur on a discussion board, what did u except? As if people ask u or anyone else to agree or disagree with them when they make post too. I don't think so. Just saying!

LMAO I guess I'm the one laughing! ;)

I just listened to it. It made me cry. Very melancholy and delivered with so much baggage. "if only I knew what tomorrow brings..." He couldn't have known when he smiled in all of those pictures what tomorrow would bring. But we know, now. It is not a change for the better. It is very depressing.

I know it may not be the best vocal. But it must have been difficult for Taryll to sing. The lamentations towards someone you loved and still love and will continue to love even though they can no longer love you back. All you have left are pictures flashing across your screen.

"Would you like to go with me?"

"Take away this neverending sorrow"

"Take away this pain within my soul"

Thank you for posting this.

Well, I know we are on a message board...but the way you injected the Cascios in the discussion, I had to remind you this wasn't about Cascio issue..but all about greed and phoniness (Singing a song off a record they wanted to fail because their own production didn't make it on the album)....in a Taryll thread

Keep it laughing... and moving

^ But, this thread isn't about the Michael Album either! lol It's about a nephew missing his uncle.

That's why I commented, and thought I should point out that others were to blame for the Michael album poor sells too, not just the Jacksons. Since u brought it up first.

But, yea whatever moving on!

Though there are too many pauses (imo) and sound quality is not the best I still appreciate Taryll's tribute :)
