TAMPA - As if stepping on stage isn't hard enough, now try living up to the likes of Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.
Well that is exactly what a group of 19 young people at the Patel Conservatory out at the Straz Center are trying to do as they tackle the 70s classic "The Wiz".
The kids range in age from 13 to 19 and they have put in months of work to pull off "the Wiz". For those who are part of the production they say all the hard work and the message of "believe in yourself" and "believe in family" is worth the trip to see the show.
There are two performances today, Saturday, April 2nd, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
So head on out and support the kids.
