I've always loved star trek. Actually and please don't laugh I used to have a crush on Data when I was younger.

I like the original crew, which is pretty much what I grew up on. The Picard movies are kinda boring. I didn't even bother to see the last one they made. I was never really a fan of the later crews. I watched "The Next Generation" & "Deep Space Nine" if somebody else was watching it. But I never watched them myself on purpose. I've never watched the one with the woman captain & the other one after it with the Quantum Leap guy. I guess I'm more familiar and relate to the original crew more than the others. I saw the new movie, it was ok, but they changed the characters and some of the story from the original series. It's basically a modern videogame version of Star Trek. The series and the original crew movies had more of a background, rather than just a bunch of action.
