How do you feel about those riots involving your favourite sports? Like soccer, wrestling and hockey for example and have any of you experience that kind of chaos in your home involving your favourite sports team?

Sports riots to me are absolutely disgusting, not only they cause rampage, looting, bloody feuds and drunkeness, they also showed themselves as whiny classless fools. I mean look at Vancouver for example, they rioted the city twice back in 1994 and 2011, those are when their hockey team the Vancouver Canucks twice lost the Stanley Cup Final in Game 7 to NY Rangers (1994) and the Boston Bruins (2011), fans showed themselves as bunch of whiny crybabies because their team didn't win the Stanley Cup.

There are other riots which is a different story like in Montreal, they rioted in 1993 when the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup over Los Angeles, they didn't whine and cry like Vancouver did, but they win the Cup and riots, that's also classless, Montreal started the first known riot back in the mid 50's when Montreal Canadiens legend Maurcie "Rocket" Richard was suspended for the remainder of the 1954-55 season including the playoffs when it was known as "Richard Riot", the Habs fans complained that the suspenion was to severe for their iconic player, but later Richard addressed the fans to cease the rioting and takes the suspension with this statement:

Because I always try so hard to win and had my troubles in Boston, I was suspended. At playoff time it hurts not be in the game with the boys. However, I want to do what is good for the people of Montreal and the team. So that no further harm will be done, I would like to ask everyone to get behind the team and to help the boys win from the New York Rangers and Detroit. I will take my punishment and come back next year to help the club and the younger players to win the Cup.

Richard shows a lot of class addressing the fans in Montreal back in the mid 50's, but still the fans remained classless all the time, like 1993 for winning the Cup, they rioted again in 2008 after defeating the Boston Bruins Game 7 of the Quarter-Final.

Montreal and Vacouver are pretty much known to riot in Canada re. hockey, but did you see cities like Los Angeles, New York and Boston doing the same when they lost or win the Stanley Cup? No. They never whine or go crazy like Montreal and Vancouver does, these fans over there shows a lot of class. Toronto showed class when they lost to Boston in Game 7 during the playoffs, they're heartbroken, but at least they didn't riot. Edmonton and Ottawa who's been in the Stanely Cup Final showed class when they won or lost the Stanley Cup.

If I was in the middle of the riot myself I would be disgusted and just help stop all of the chaos.

Well football (Soccer) has a wide reputation of hooliganism in a number of countries around the world. Some are like a violent passion (where people turn violent for the passion of their team) or some are just about pure violence. Places like Turkey, Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and a lot of Middle Eastern countries have passionate/violently passionate fans. I like vocal/passionate fans. Fans that are about the support of the team. Especially in Turkey where things can get very vocal! The loudest fans in the footballing world are fans of a turkish team called Besiktas where their fans reached sound in excess of 132db!! (See video of them below!)

I am also impressed with fans who put on huge displays of support for their team before a match gets underway too! More pics below!

A lot of eastern european fans use flares to create an intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams:

Wow. They are loud. I have no problem with them being vocal, hockey is the same, they go vocal and they became so loud, Winnipeg is a great example, when the Jets returned to the NHL for their first game of the season since 1996, the capacity crowd at the MTS Centre was super loud.

My mom once told me that soccer (football) fans can be crazy and rowdy, even more than hockey fans. I don't mind them being vocal, but I detest when they get violent. A friend of my dad's went to Montreal to see the Bruins vs Canadiens playoff game a few years ago and he got into a fight with a Habs fans. The Montreal fans can tear any Bruins fans up.

Sports riots can be so dangerous and out of control. I'm a football fan from Germany and I know that there are certain groups (I'm not calling them fans because they aren't in my eyes) that go over the top and hurt others. In a cramped environment like a stadium this can be fatal. Once you panic, it is very, very hard to regain a calm head and act rationally.

I have only experienced a tiny riot-like situation about 10 years ago. One of the windows of a fan bus we came with was destroyed and stones or other hard objects were thrown. It's crazy. People who take part in that should be locked away.

I agree, they should be locked away, for maybe at least a few years, they do get arrested for the riot behaviour. I mean they're just disgraceful, out of anger, drunkeness and junvenille delinquences just gets the best of them which spirals out of control.

Look at these videos on the Vancouver riots both on 1994 and 2011.

(Those Vancouver Canucks fans are just a bunch of whiny babies. The Bruins won the Cup fair, because the Sedins *Henrik & Daniel* didn't produce enough during the series, 1 of your players got injured and one got suspended for concussing one of our boys. You guys are so classless!)

WARNING: These footages contain destruction, violence and language.

That is just crazy. It is such a scary and dangerous thing when people get violent in crowded places. I think it's really sad how those people give the sport a bad reputation.

Believe me I detest the violent side too because there's no need for it. Things can also be done in the heat of the moment but it's the people that go just to cause trouble. I've been in a couple of police escorts for Manchester United fans going to a couple of grounds and the opposing fans only give it the fingers or just playfully taunt you. Only on one occasion has anything happened and that was when I went to Stoke City for a United away match and a coin was thrown into our end from a neighbouring stand.

A British actor called Danny Dyer who starred in a football hooligan film called The Football Factory. He's done a serious of documentaries called The Real Football Factories where he explores this side of the game from passionate fans to the more notorious groups from places like Turkey, Slovakia etc

It's an interesting documentary which sees him meet and interview some of the worst people from the world of hooliganism.

Not only that, they give a city a bad name too. As I've stated before, they just showed themselves a bunch of whiny babies.

You and me both. I wanna check the clip, but I can't because it says "Video not available in your country" UGH Typical. Montreal fans are just as bad as the fans in Vancouver, but to me far worse, they love to gain attention by causing trouble like riots is one thing, but also complained that their players injured like Max "Phony" Paciorrety got a concussion when Zdeno Chara makes a clean hit, they whine so much that they wanted the police to charge Chara for what? Hitting a player and not getting a suspension? They're are so CLASSLESS, they show no amount of class and respect, they even making t-shirts saying "CHARA SUCKS & LUCIC IS A B!^%#" that my love of hating Montreal Canadiens turned to bitter hatred. I hate when Montreal fans tries to get to my face taunting me about my Boston Bruins, I just stone cold at them. I'd never taunt another fan like that. I show class this way. I detest classless whining and crying by the fans as much as rioting.

If you do a search on YouTube for "The Real Football Factories International" I'm sure you'll find a lot of the episodes.
