My reaction when I saw Sonic's design

I gave it a C- minus. I really didn't like Sonic was designed. I like Jim Carrey, but I don't think he should be suited for the role as Robotnik, that moustache is so damn UGLY. I rather cast Dan Reeks to play Robotnik instead since he's a true egghead and pure evil like Robotnik himself.

Carrey isn't a bad choice and I'll admit, he's looking to be the best part of this film so far. But to be fair it's hard to see ANYONE playing Robotnik in live-action form. This really should have been CG animated. Hell, Pixar did a good job rendering Sonic for Wreck-It Ralph; if they had been given the license this could've been amazing.

I doubt that, especially being that after all the work they put into it that they would purposely put out a design many people hated. And I admit I have mixed feelings about this cus on the one hand it’s cool that he heard fans but on the other side of the coin you’re going down a very slippery slope on how much filmmakers should listen to fans. Not to mention Jeff Fowler hasn’t said how much of a redesign it’s going to be. The film is 6 months away.

Looks like the film is pushed back to next year to redesign Sonic like everybody wanted.
