Those lyrics are from a song by Tim Buckley, father of the late Jeff Buckley, in his song Valentine Melody. It's a really haunting but beautiful tune, poignant lyrics, but I always listen to it on Valentine's day even if I'm happy.

When I was younger, my list of favorite songs would change A LOT.
I've noticed it's SO NOT that anymore.
I still adore those versions of My Funny Valentine, almost like I did 3 years ago.
