I choose Snoop.
Jay-Z will undoubtedly get more praise in the hip-hop kingdom, I just enjoy Snoop's songs more, he covers the range from club thumpers to deep, insightful lyrics to songs that are just fun. He seems like a genuinely nice guy as well.
Jay-Z will probably be remembered as the bigger icon, but Snoop will be remembered as an icon as well.
I'm a big fan of both though.

As a fan of the both of them, Jay definitely overshadows Snoop. Snoop's lyrics have become more dull through the years. On the other hand, Jigga finds a way to force you to think about what he has to say.
Just compare their latest works... American Gangster and Ego Trippin'... It's like day and night. Whether you love or hate Jay-Z, you have to respect someone like that. Props to him.

Definitely agree, though I think "Blue Carpet Treatment" was a huge step up lyrically for Snoop.

I like Snoop Better as a personality and I like his style of rapping better, but Jay makes better albums and has really done well for himself. Plus Jay is from my hometown, so of course I have love for him lol.
