Im confused, I thought the lean wasn't introduced until the dangerous tour... but then how does one explain this photo:

Michael would lean over as far as he could before falling and then would run off. Plus that picture is taken on a slight angle. You can see that by the stage.

OMG! so he's basically just leaning there without the grip or w.e.? Or is he wearing them special shoes?
But you can't beat the lean on Bucharest! OH its sooo good. His mouth

it was done without the gadget. with Mike & the other dancers quickly moving off quickly after rather than contuing directly with the other moves

No he is not wearing the special shoes. You and I could do what Michael did on the Bad tour. Just lean over as far as you can and before you fall, run. Running stops you from falling.

MJ didnt use those shoes he invented until the Dangerous Tour.

Oh I see, well not even I could lean that far :p
the lean is only magic when Michael does it!

That is an audience-recorded video of Smooth Criminal from the Bad Tour. if you skip to around 4:20, you'll see that he tries to lean and then starts running to stop himself from falling.

There was ONE occasion on the HIStory Tour where he did actually fall while doing the lean, and it was in Tokyo.

well the video didn't come out before the tour even thou it was filmed before the tour. but that's irrelevant because they use wires in the video

ps. what concert video is that from and where can i get the whole thing? its really cool to see Smooth Criminal live on the bad tour. wonder if there's any other recordings of it...
