In the heart of Michael... FOREVER!!!
Really proud of the fine young man that Michael Jackson's son, Prince, has become, very down-to-earth and centered. Kudos to Mrs. Katherine Jackson.

Yeah.... BUT Siedah you should congratulate Michael... why was he who did a good job as a father. -_- The credits are all of Michael and nobody else. ;)

:fear:

How about Kudos to Michael Jackson. He was the one who sat down and talked to these kids about right and wrong and what to do. Of course grandma helps, but lets give michael some credit too. These children's character began being molded by their one parent from the time they were born--let's not forget that. Look at how many years they spent with their dad. I know Siedah did not mean anything by her comment, but with any other child, the adult would say, " your dad brought you up right." It seems so easy to forget the good that Michael Jackson did. I only hope that when people make these comments to the children's faces, they reply, "and so did my daddy too."

:agree:

No member of the Jackson family has to do with what PPB are.... They (Jackson family) do not deserve any credit. :nono: -_- :fear: Michael is solely responsible for what their children have become. :girl_sigh:  Just saying... :fear:

And I'm glad that Siedah had the opportunity to be with Prince and perhaps shared with him their beautiful memories about Michael.

I think Siedah is a nice lady and she means well but I don't like the fact that she didn't acknowledge Mike's parenting but instead gave kudos to Katherine. The way Prince, Paris & Blanket are today is because of Mike. It is was him who taught them everything he knows. Mike was one hell of a father...

Nonetheless nice photo.

MJ'S influence on PPB can't be denied. So stop the eternal bitching and moaning about the Jacksons, and hear what Siedah Garrett and others are saying. They are rightfully bowing to Mrs Jackson for helping the kids cope with a traumatic event.

^^She has denied it by not giving credit to the dad as well as the grandma. This is what people are saying. It is unjust to give grandma all the credit. You know that Michael has influence, but what you are saying is not what Siedah is saying, and that makes all the difference. Siedah omitted dad's influence and only focused on grandma.

We all like Siedah and like the way she speaks lovingly of Michael. Personally, I think she did not think about the choice of her words.

Avery cute picture and some kind sweet words - sad how it is twisted to be something negative

Her ONE Sentence comment praising Prince and giving Kat respect was not disrespectful to MJ or his parenting skills in any way shape or form . but for some reason its Twisted it into that like a Pretzel. We dont know all what she may or may not have stated beyond one sentence. Its probable she further praise MJ at that same time like she usually does. I find it very sad fans want to find fault in anyone for the most trivial matters .. instead seeing of the good .. right in front of them, .. This was good sweet loving post she made about prince and his grandma . That post doesnt define the whole sum of her feelings about Michael and his children. ..But thise one time is specifically stated about KAt who also deserves respect.

There was no reason to make like it was meant as a insult to MJ. It clealry was NOT. She just was not discussing Michael's parenting skills or lack of them in that perticula sentence .. so it unfait to take one phrase and use it against her .... That scary to me. but Mostly SAD MJ fans turn on others like that.

Is there not enough mud and dirt to play in that you have to muddy up and twists the meaning of someones words or lack of them. She was not disrespctful in ANY WAY .. But those who TWISTED the meaniing of her words or Lack of words to portray she did somethign wrong are the ones being disrespectful _ TWISTING the heart of someomes intentions .. looking for evil or wrong where there is none. But maybe ithe eveil its just in our own heart so lets s look in the mirror ... and make that change _ What a beautiful song and mesage she wrote and how lucky she was to spend many beutiful moments on and off stage with Michael.

Massive kudos Qbee. 100% correct.

Unfortunately the kind of twisting & vitriol seen above is why myself (and I guess many) find it difficult to come here at times.

Mjs the one raised that child into the fine young man he is today. no one else. whether an intentional comment or not it implies that kj raised jr into what he is now. its totally disrespectful considering the media and certain jacksons love to say the kids are better off now that they arent been raised by the subhuman

yeah by selling them to oprah howard mann german tabloid reporters.weisner.......etc etc

Ah, I didn't know it was granny who raised this kid. All my life I thought it was his dad, Michael. Thanks to let me know Siedah.

Exclusive On point as usual.

I do not became anything negative :bugeyed :nono:, I just added the truth that is often ignored or forgotten by some people. Just that.... -_- But I'll apologize for it. Ok?!

And I have nothing against Siedah. -_- :nono: I love her, she was always very respectful about Michael.

Ash I know you like Siedah. You were simple saying that you did not like a comment made. I think people should understand that simple because someone does not like what someone said, it does not mean the person dislikes them. Sorry you were upset. I have always placed you among the most loving persons here, so naturally I become concerned when you are upset.

NO, you SHOULD NOT apologize for stating the truth.

How is stating a fact negative? MJ did raise this kid for 12 years... and he should be given full credit that despite all the fuckery (fake charity, bind to a porn producer, palling w/ his own father's enemy, giving interview to people who disrespected his father, plugging counterfeited belts, perfumes, books, hawking fake leather jackets, Japan "tribute") he's been put through, he's kept his poise.

You got that right...MJ should get ALL the credit. THE END.

You dont need to apologise for anything
I know you love her and my comment was not meant as anything personal directed toward you at all _ You comment just stated maybe she should have said more abut MJ. I agree maybe she should have. I love and respect you Ashtanga . I was just adressing the over all tone in the thread which was becoming more insulting toward Siedah and I dont think she deserved that. Yes she probably should have said more but that fact she didnt doesnt mean it was intentional or that she doent know MJ was resposible for raising hs children. I feel we should be kind and give her the benifit of doubt that it was just an oversite. not meant to disrespect MJ in any way.
Dont take it personal please :better:

I think it only matters what Prince, Blanket and Paris have to say. I am sure they give a lot of credit to their father.

Siedah has said nothing but kind things about Michael. Maybe she just meant to thank katherine for helping the kids after Michael's death. The kids love their grandma and are doing well for the most part living with her. Maybe that is what she is referring to. Michael picked his mother to raise his kids. Michael deserves all the credit in the world for how his kids are.

I agree with your comment, except the evil part. I think some people get a little annoyed because there are very few who recognizing that Michael built the foundation on his children character. After Michael's passing the media was saying the kids will now have the opportunity to live a normal life. So i think that whoever was a friend of Michael should also always remind the media that Michael has a lot to do with his children's behavior.

We are by nature a very defensive bunch us MJ fans, I too share the frustrations when Michael is not credited for his obvious excellent parenting skills. I must admit when I read the comment when it originally came out I was immediately drawn to the words 'Prince has become', and I thought 'what? he wasn't that before' and 'how would you know anyway', but I thought about it and figured that perhaps it was simply a miss use of words or my interpretation of them. And I also rationally thought that Siedah most likely did not mean any malice against Michael. But yes,it is unfortunate how that small comment can read to some of us.

I love Siedah. I think were just touchy because we all know this is what some will try to say as the kids get older.

Yes, by nature, MJ fans are defensive and protective. Given the fact that Michael was so maliciously treated in life, we always feel we need to clarify people and get the truth out. However, it's indeed unfortunate how fans read into such innocent and sweet comment and imagine something else. Of course, Siedah meant well. She saw how down-to-earth and intelligent Prince is and politely gave Katherine a compliment. I don't see how this is an act of stealing credit from Michael.

There is nothing wrong saying "Prince has become a grounded young man". It's true that Prince has become a "young man" now. He was a child when Michael passed. Siedah did not misspeak. The children are growing day by day.

To many people, Katherine is not a fitting guardian. But, we can't deny the fact that it's Michael's wish to have his mother taking care of his children. By all accounts, the children are doing extremly well after such traumatic tragedy. Yes, Katherine deserves credits as well. I don't care how much money/help the family has or how they lack any business sense. It's not easy for a 80 year-old woman to lose a son and take care of his children. It pains me to even think about it. It doesn't mean Katherine is taking credits away from Michael. Paris said it so well in the mermorial services. She told the whole world Michael was the best father one can ever imagined. That's the best eulogy she can give to her father. To many people, the moment she bravely stood on the stage of Staple Center was as memorable as JFK Jr. saluting President Kennedy. The media can write whatever, the truth is out there.

What Michael achieved as an artist can never be taken away. Likewise, what he accomplished as a father will always stay in the children's hearts. All the distractions out there are just noise.

Absolutely love this post....I know people have a lot to say about the Jacksons, and believe me, they deserve their fair share with some of their actions...No doubt...

HOWEVER, I do not think Siedah had any intention of giving all the credit to Katherine. How can one take that out of context is beyond me. Prince HAS become a fine young man. BECAUSE of who raised him. It's just a compliment, nothing more, nothing less.

We don't know the type of relationship Katherine or ANY of the Jackson's have with the kids. We don't see what happens behind closed doors. I don't personally like to judge a family unit. It's their family, not mine.

"Kudos to Katherine"...to me, that sounds more that she's giving credit to Katherine for having taken on guardianship for those beautiful children after losing a son. I could not for the life of me imagine what that must feel like. Absolutely KUDOS TO KATHERINE.

And who knows, Siedah could have spoken with Michael years ago about these kids, giving him all the rightful praise in the world for raising such amazing children ;)

We don't have to even mention the fact that Michael raised those children with nothing but love. You can see it in their faces, in the way they speak. They are Michael.

I wouldn't be surprised if she talked to Prince about Michael and told him funny stories. When the kids say they want to follow in Michael's footsteps and continue his message of love and are inspired by him. That is one of the nicest compliment Michael can get. I look forward to when the kids get older and when they are asked how Michael was as a dad I am confident in what they will say. They have already praised him now as a great dad.

I totally agree with what you said. Michael raised Prince, Paris, and Blanket and they are great kids. For them to lose their father and have the world judge him and them......unbearable

Katherine stood up to the place after such a horrible event and has been a parent to the kids and helped them through the past 3 years. That in itself deserves respect

Sad that a simple compliment was twisted so much and seen as disrespectful
