MJ needed to write and produce more songs by himself for the album to really be better. He didn't need to work with Darkchild, Neptunes, Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, Irv Gotti, Dr. Dre, etc.

I said this in another thread, but I'll also say it here.

I love Timbaland's production work, so I'm a little biased. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« I say yes. It's hard for me to not like a song that was produced by Timbaland.

Overall, mostly according to the amazing remix work he put in for Xscape (minus the Do You Know Where Your Children Are remix... that one, I just don't care for), I can definitely see him making grounded and excellent work back in 2001 as well with Invincible. He even managed to make the remixed version of Blue Gangsta on Xscape sound better than the original!
