What do you think? This is my review on it, I posted it on her youtube channel...

"Not impressed at all to be perfectly honest. Some dance moves are like the moves in La Tortura but exaggerated. It's degrading, in my opinion and I've been a fan for a long time now and know all of Shakira's released material. The video, especially the scene in the club, is very commerical and overrated and the black outfit in the beginning is ridiculous. I think artists nowadays need to learn to be an innovator without going over the top and looking desperate. I still love Shakira though, artistically, she's been one of the best acts since the 90s. I wish Michael Jackson was here to show us how it's REALLY DONE. RIP MJ. "


P.S. For the record, I'm a belly dancer and what shes doing here is NOT belly dancing.

Appearently she improvised the dancing and thought of the concept of the video because she felt like she was in her cage her whole life. Still, incredibly average song and video, sadly, from one of the most innovative and independent female pop singers of recent years.
 
I saw it and I didn't really like it. I get the overall concept, but still. it just didn't do it for me. But I do like the song though.

eta: just a thought- Am i the only one that likes her songs better when they're in Spanish? granted, I can't understand a word she's saying, but "Loba" just sounds better than "she wolf" to me. it just flows better. I feel that way about a lot of her songs. I know that by making an english version she's reaching a wider audience, but still...
 
I would have called the song "Depressed She Wolf", awwwww(the way she sings WTF???, that wolf is depressed!!

Yeah, I love her Spanish music. Her best album was so "Donde Estas Los Landrones" Genius.

But okay, I don't like her dancing like that, no. It looks like a struggle, not a dance. I love when she does her belly dancing like in "Ojos Asi" or "Whenever Wherever", she shoud deffo stick to that.
 
I think this song was lined up for release way before Michael's death.

I love the song, it's so addictive!!!!!!!!! :D

oh i love ojos asi!! my favorie performance of hers.

this video was bad she needs to improve again somehow. i havnt been as interested in her lately .. ohwell.

:yes: "Ojos Asi" is deffo one of her best songs / videos. I just love those songs of hers that have that slight middle-eastern sound to them and her bally dancing of course, it's what makes her stand out.
When she forgoes it, she's just like any other female blond artist, which is sad because she can be really cool and original and special when she wants to.

Usually for me I get sick of seeing female entertainers in tiny outfits all the time, but not Shakira for some reason.
I like that black outfit! I think she looks amazing in it- maybe I should get one.....j/k

I don't think it's that bad. The moves she does when inside the cage, are insane!! The woman has some flexible joints! :lol:
 
Well....i don't really listen that much to her music...well ,not at all really.
But daaaaamn..i was in love with her while watching the VMAs...the way she looked. How could a guy not be in love with such beauty. Oh and Beyonce and .....and so on ;)

Hehe did you see the preshow to the VMA's?!
It literally was cute when she got embarrassed and blushed when the dude that interviewed her gave her a compliment.

Well, i must admit...some moves are rather weird by her in that latest video, but i also saw Beautiful Liar yesterday in HD on Youtube and well.....sigh, hahahah.
One beautiful women, not hot or anything...that is not apropriate to call her that...it's beauty....for real ;)
