Taking the fear out of ISTEP

...Educators will go to great lengths to convince area students that this week's ISTEP-Plus testing can be fun.
Wearing a costume and green makeup, Center Grove Elementary's principal, accompanied by staff members, danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" during a special program Friday to gear students up for the test...

:( Not even worth putting but it has MJ's name in it...The Michael Jackson Card

By Joseph Bui
Daily Cal Columnist
http://www.dailycal.org/article/102686/the_michael_jackson_card
...To have even gotten this far, Obama has had to do what Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Shirley Chisholm refused to do before him: play the Michael Jackson card. And no, I'm not trying to spread a vicious lie about Obama liking kids a little too much.
What I mean is that he's obscured racial identity, painting himself as this white candidate who only happens to be black-not that I blame him for it I mean, how dare he want to win! ...

Ugh, what is with peeps today another yucky one...
Worst video games to star musicians

The story

You control Michael Jackson as he rescues little children and yells "Who's bad?" Yes, you read that properly...

Today in
Michael Jackson History
1984 - Michael Jackson won Best Overall Performance Video for "Thriller" at the inaugural MTV Video Music Awards.

1986 - Michael Jackson's "Captain Eo" opened at Disneyland in the Magic Eye theater. The film actually debuted in Disneyland's Journey into Imagination at Epcot Center on September 12.

1989 - A California Raisins commercial that featured a "claymation" version of Michael Jackson debuted on U.S. television.

Ok, gonna let the news have time to find something better - blah! I'll be back with some better stuff I hope!

I think some of these writers just love to find a way to mention Michael's name. Also, I find the article offensive in implying that blacks need to almost deny who they are in order to get what they want. That is racist within itself. No one white has to imply being "less white' in order to get what they want in life. And to think some people think race is not an issue no more. Give me a break.

I left a comment on MR. Joseph Bui article
in how tacky it was to use MJ's name in that manner.
someone else also posted the same type message to him

I agree. And for him to throw Michael into this with the "liking kids a little too much" comment is just pouring salt in the wound. I have no tolerance for such crap. Bui should be ashamed and he knows it.
