Sean Kingston 'walking again' after jet-ski crash
Hip-hop artist Sean Kingston is now walking again and is expected to recover fully from his horrific jet-ski accident.
The Beautiful Girls singer crashed the watercraft into the Palm Island Bridge in Miami on May 29th and was immediately hospitalised with female passenger Cassandra Sanchez.
Kingston broke his jaw and wrist and collected water in his lungs after the smash. Friend Jonathan Rivera, who helped to pull Kingston out of the water, described how the star was vomiting blood and convulsing.
However, the 21-year-old is now breathing on his own and is walking again, with doctors confirming that his condition has been upgraded from 'critical but stable' to 'serious'.
His representative, Joseph Carozza, said in a statement: 'Sean Kingston continues to be hospitalised at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His condition has been upgraded to serious.
'Sean is breathing on his own and walked for the first time this morning. Sean thanks his friends, family and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes.'
Yet, when Kingston does finally recover, the singer may have to face charges over strict laws protecting local wildlife.
The authorities in Miami have confirmed they are investigating whether the accident breached laws protecting local manatees, which could lead to a fine in excess of $32,500 (£20,000).
