Rodney Jerkins gets the 'OK' to release new Janet song

Rodney Jerkins revealed tonight on his live Ustream internet web cam show that Janet recently told him that it was OK if he "leaked" onto the internet a new, previously unreleased song that he produced for her.

He did not reveal the date that he would be releasing the track, but only said that it would be sometime soon. No other information about the new song was given.

Jerkins has been working with Janet on her upcoming new studio album since late last year. The anticipated album does not currently have a release date, nor has it been announced what record label, if any, will be releasing it.

Prior to this, Jerkins produced the songs "Make Me," "Feedback," "Luv," "Rollercoaster" and "Curtains" for Janet.

For once I agree with you on something.


I think "Feedback" is nice so maybe this will be a good track too. I heard the genre of music is World so I'm interested to hear the result.
 
I can't wait..I hope it's nothing like her last 2 albums..which were garbage..Hopefully its like Rhythm Nation 1814 meets The Velvet Rope..

I'd say Janet Jackson is so yesterday, I believe there is no way she can reach the top ever again. I like her music and there is few good songs even on those last two albums but I still don't believe she is going to reach the top again.

What? She never hit 'rock bottom' to begin with. :mello:

I love Janet and support everything she does. Not every album can be a hit, song nor video. I hope she continues to do well and I look forward to hearing and seeing her work well into the future. She also gives me hope.

Gotta love the Jackson family.

The same thing can be said about every artist. :mello: Everyone has their peak and then they decline. Careers don't stay on top forever.
 
I thought she was going back with Jam & Lewis. I don't care for Rodney's stuff.

Aw, thanks for sharing. I'm not really a fan of him, to be honest, I haven't heard much of him yet, because it's difficult for me to get used to nowadays music lol But I can say this song will be definitely played in clubs which is perfect for Janet. The song is a good dance number but I think I need to get used to it first lol I think it'll sound better with Janet because then I have a reason to really listen to it :D

Ok, today is Feb. 15th. Are there any news because of the promised leak? Haven't found anything on Janet-xone
