Michael Jackson's beloved tigers "Thriller" and "Sabu" living out their lives at the Shambala Preserve in Acton, California
Michael Jackson was not only loved by the people of the World for his incomparable talent, he was loved by the magnificent Wild Animals for which he provided the most beautiful home at his Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, California.
Michael always said he trusted children and animals because they told him the truth.
When financial and life problems became too difficult, Michael asked his longtime Zoological Veterinarian Martin R. Dinnes to find the best homes in the U.S. for the elephants, giraffe, orangatans, and his cherished tigers.
Dr Dinnes chose the Shambala preserve for Thriller and Sabu. They were born 11/20/98 and came to Shambala 5/4/06.
They, as did 98% of the animals requiring sanctuary at the Shambala Preserve, came with no bank account or dowry. As a sanctuary, that's what we do. We rescue exotic felines who have been born in the U.S. to be sold as pets or for commercial use.
It is a grave human error to acquire a wild animal as a pet.
Perhaps you, as Michael Jackson admirers and animal lovers, could pay homage to Michael, Thriller and Sabu by making a donation to the Roar Foundation thru www.shambala.org. This would be a unique and loving tribute to "The King of Pop" and the tigers whom he loved and had such great respect.
