I was watching this MJ programme on TV and they said that the girls also formed a band but seperated soon after due to music differences does anyone know anything else about this ??

OHHHH i remember hearing about that years ago...idk what happened or if they had a song

katherine spoke about it in her autobiography. The group was formed in the late 70's and was intended to be something similar to the supremes in style. Songs were prepared and the girls began recording. They didn't finish recording however due to differences in opinion regarding the direction of the group and who would be lead singer. Katherine qoutes rebbie as saying that she was sick of trying to compromise with her sisters.

thanks for that everyone. I was hoping to hear some of their songs but it doesn't matter. Thanks for the vid xrisx

Joe tried to put them together and take them to a label. But the labels weren't having it. So they disbanded.

You can see a clip of the girls listening to one of their recordings in this video:

Look around the 7:09 mark.

I uploaded that vid on youtube...and this whole time I never knew they were listening to one of their own songs..I always thought it was some random 70's band coz it doesn't sound like them...I could be wrong though

That song isn't the sisters, it's Ashford & Simpson. The 1st video is live and the 2nd is the studio version.

Yeah that seems to be the same song, didn't know that.
Seeing that the three of them were listening to it and the voices seemed like theirs to me, I always assumed they were listening to one of their recordings together.
Also right before that song was played the voice-over talks about them being in a group, so maybe they also recorded it?

I don't think they have actually recorded anything together. If they have then it's probably in a vault, if not lost. Janet and Randy recorded together and the song is in one of the threads here. I think it was called "Love Song For Kids". There's 2 different groups called the Jackson Sisters though. One is a teen sibling group from the early 70s similar to the J5 & the Sylvers. The other is a gospel group from the 1990s.
