GARY -- Michael Jackson's oldest sibling, Rebbie Jackson, will visit Gary next month to promote an upcoming concert, according to a press release.
The three-day visit will begin with a 10 a.m. press conference on June 4 at the Jackson family's Gary home. Afterward, she is scheduled to meet with Mayor Rudy Clay at Gary City Hall.
A statement also says Rebbie Jackson will throw out the first pitch for the RailCats that night. Finally, she will give a commencement address to the graduates of Roosevelt High School.
The second day will be full of private meetings with family, friends, civic leaders and producers of other upcoming Jackson events, according to the press release.
Finally, on June 6, Rebbie Jackson will visit the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago for a screening of "The Firing Squad," "Swan Song" and other locally produced movies.
Her visit comes two months before a four-day "fanvention" to be held in her brother's honor in Merrillville. His niece, Genevieve Jackson, helped announce the event in March.
