The Republican Jewish Coalition sent mailers to NJ district 9 saying that Obama has a bad policy to tackle Iran, and Rabbi Shmuley himself made “The Gaza 54″ letter and Obama’s overall approach to Israel a key issue in a district that has many Arabs and a district that has many Jews who according to polls don’t care much about Israel as an election issue. As such it is not surprise that despite single-issue-Abelson spending more than a million dollars on this race, Rabbi Shmuley lost this race in a massive landslide: With 61% reporting, he won only 22% of the vote.
