Hey,
Just seen R Kelly's performance on youtube of his performance on the Soul Train Awards and really enjoyed it. I've liked a couple of his songs in the past-I believe i can fly, world's greatest, ignition, happy people . Anyone else really enjoy the performance and is looking forward to the Love Letter album?

Heard a copy of the leaked album and gotta say he's back on form, best stuff since chocolate factory for me.

The boy got Soul.

great performance and check out his performance on the jimmy fallon show where he did when a woman loves and number one, then he did ignition and step in the name of love with the roots.

he tore it up. he is da king of R&B 20 years and counting of doing it up.

love letter is the album of the year. he is da kang of R&B. nobody is touching him musically.

Dang Maxxx! I missed that. Would have loved to see him on Fallon.
I did see the Soul Train performance and really enjoyed it.
Kelly got talent.....no denying.

I bought R-Kelly and MJ's CD at the same time.(yesterday)
Havent heard it all the way yet but the few songs I've listened to, I like.
I love the concept he has chosen for his latest project.

its on youtube, plus a documentary of love letter where he is talking about the songs. he turned jimmy fallon out.

i can't stand jimmy fallon, however r. kelly tore the joint up.

Lol Maxxx! Fallon is annoying as hell!

I gotta check out YT for that and the documetary.

I was gonna start a thread on R.'s new CD because to my surprise,
he did YANA.....the last track on the disc. I say 'surprise' because it's
not listed on the CD track list..
It starts with R. saying, "In loving memories of my hero, MJ....forever."

he loved mj and respected him to the fullest.

the documentary is on point.

yeah i got the bonus tracks from best buy and you are not lone is the last track. peace

Yes he does. He's made no secret about his love and respect for Michael.
Actually, I wish they would have done more stuff together. I mean other than
his lil bit in OMC.

Btw Maxxx...thanks. ;)

R is true about his Love for MJ and he never said otherwise.

R always acknowledges the greats of the past and stayed true to that always.

MJ doing not feelin the love and taxi cab would have been tight IMO.

there was a mutal musical respect between these two Music Giants.

i was always hoping for MJ Steppers album with R.Kelly and him colaborating. it would have worked.

peace

OK Maxxx, I checked out R. Kelly's performance on Jimmy Fallon and you were right.
Of course he tore it up! I really enjoyed that show. I didnt realize it was
The Roots in the band at first. And the Docu....well it was great to get insight into thought proccess that went on in the making of "Love Letter". It makes me appreciate his talent even more.
Nice one. :)

Also, even tho Fallon annoys me, it was Kimmel who I was thinking of
when I said that. Lol! He annoys me even more! Hahaha.

Anyone else think the song 'Not feeling the Love' on the Love Letter album could have been written for MJ??

The ad-libs at the end especially are very very MJ'esq. Great song that would have been even better had MJ been singing it.

it was written for MJ, they were hanging out in chicago before MJ passed. R.kelly held his own vocally on them IMO
