Question regarding any new material

Since the concerts were only a few weeks away, is it a stretch for me to say that his new album was almost finished? And to be almost finished wouldnt that mean there would be at least a few completed songs? For example I remember Will.i.am mentioning that he had completed a few songs with MJ. If these new 'completed' songs from the album really do exist, do you think they will be released? I think it would be a great tribute to present any completed new material.

I was thinking few days ago, that he will release album between concerts.
Tour would be the best promotion, so he could shock us with releasing the statement one day before the release...

Yeah I just find it hard to believe that after all this time, after all the collaboration, that the only new material to present is a clip of an enviornmental song with no lyrics.
