I have a question: How does one even get to see and talk to Michael??? We have all seen the videos of the poor girl, speaking German, who breaks down and cries before hugging MJ ; MJ sees the big ape go to the bathroom after lol. and starts laughing. And hes telling her to relax. (what a gentleman)

does a fan go up to his security guard and ask the security if its ok?? Thats so ... random. Like the fans knew where he was going to be & it was just ok to go up to his room?? - this video of some fans who personally gave Michael a present ; it looked like a book of clippings of his whole life. Very well done I might add.

How was a fan able to personally see and visit michael jackson???

Mostly they just asked Michael's security if it was ok for them to give their presents to MJ personally. The security checked with Michael and if he was ok with it, they would take the fans to see him.

whenever Michael did a public performance, for an awards show etc, he usually stayed in a public place, and had no problem with fans being around. He would walk over to barriers, come out onto hotel balconies, open car windows etc. When he stayed at hotels fans would bring banners and gifts and if Michael saw something he liked, he would ask security to get it for him.

Also when he went shopping to places like Harrods or music shops, fans would be able to meet him and get photos with him etc.

Unlike the majority of famous people, Michael really and truelly cared about his fans. At hotels he often sent out food and drinks to fans, or when he lived at Neverland, he would invite fans into his home.

Especially in the last 10 to 12 years, Michael made himself very accessable to fans, and in some ways it was actually very easy to meet him, but because it was easy to meet him in fact made it difficult, if that makes sense

I did'nt even know this easy.

all this kinda started during History tour, cos especailly in Europe, its very easy to travel country to country. Many many fans spent the summer of 1997 following the History tour around Europe, going to multiple concerts.

After History tour, and with the rise in popularity of the internet and mobile phones, it became very easy to know when and where Michael would be.

When MJJ Productions was in operation, many fan clubs and fan sites had personal contact with the staff and sometimes Michael, and would recieve information about Michaels public appearances in advance, giving the fans the chance to get tickets etc.

Year after year, country after country, fans would travel to see Michael. The information, photos and stories were posted on places like MJJC, so fans around the world could also be part of the magic.

Oh thats another question!! Neverland!... I was a hugeass fan since I was 5 years old and all during 2nd grade I kept asking my mother if I could go to Michael's house! My invitation never effin came! lol. HTH were fans (in L.A.) able to actually go to Neverland if Michael was such a private person ?

I can see him seeing a girl he thinks is hot getting a chance to hang out with him. During the Invincible signing he wasn't very shy in asking that Joanna girl for her number. He also wanted to know where she was staying.

Aaron Carter also said that he had some female fans at Neverland and was seen making out with them.

(Just FYI...Im not suggesting MJ was a lil playboy because we all know he wasnt! But I think if he liked you, than that was a way fans were able to be close to him.)

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but...
I thought I read that Joanna was a long-time, MJ following fan that MJ was already familiar with (and that after being invited to stay at MJ's, she and one of MJ's Security people were escorted off the premises because they were found having sex in one of MJ's hot tubs).

As for Aaron Carter...I heard him in the interview by Howard Stern (Howard seemed to be pressuring Aaron for incriminating dirt on MJ)...I wonder if Aaron understood who he was seeing MJ with (maybe the woman wasn't a fan) at MJ's house.
Just sayin'.

So did Michael & that girl ever hook up, go out? see a movie? lol.. what happend with them? he got her # ?

she was fan nothing more.

how do u meet mj. what moonstreet said. go where he is. sit outside his hotels for 12 hrs in the cold. follow him when he went out. buy a nice pic and wave it in his direction in a shop and he sees it and wants it. or as a friend of mine did in berlin made banners he saw them from the window and they got invited to his room

Well... I can sort of understand in a different sense. I was big into Backstreet Boys for a while (I was a fan forever!) and in 2008, me and a bunch of my friends saved up sooo much money to go to a ton of shows in different states. We just loved the shows and become hooked, it was a really fun time and we got to explore each city and we just had a blast. We never expected to become close to the Boys themselves but I suppose it's inevitable after seeing them so often. You just slowly start to be in that "circle" and we were considered the normal fans (we never screamed, freaked out, just treated them normal) and the bodyguards take a liking to those fans... so even though we were following them around... it wasn't in a creepy way, believe it or not, lol. Some may think it's creepy... but anyways, we ended up pretty close to a few of the guys, bodyguards would tell us what hotels they were staying at (maybe they shouldn't have done this, but they trusted us) and we would go out with them afterwards and stuff. So I think if you follow anyone enough, you can sort of become part of that crowd. The bodyguards would occasionally let us up front row if spots were open (we never asked, or bugged, or used them, they did this by themselves). However, in the end, we were still just fans. It's not like we ever had any of he guys numbers or knew where they lived or anything -- it's just something when they go on tour. I know BSB is a completely different level than Michael, obviously, but I'm just using the comparison.

Oh ok this is the first of this Joanna girl I am reading about but I thought there was some history with MJ and her for a brief time. Where is Blondie today???

shes a fan that mj knew personally as with alot of fans that followed him for years. got to go to the ranch etc. no history she was just a follower and then sold stories to the tabs after june implying they went out

very true. but u also create your own luck

Yes this I applaud :clapping: :clapping: People say oh u were so lucky to have seen Michael the times you did and yes the fans that did get the chance to were very lucky, but that was because they stood in the cold for 24 hours or slept on the streets for days at a time, (nearly gettin aressted at the dorchester also comes to mind ha ha)!!!

Yes, this is true, this can happen if you respect the artist and yourself to avoid making trouble :D Let's face it: who would like to have a crazy-behaving-screaming-maniac-crying fan over his/her shoulders?

The point is that as for the average fan the moment to actually see his/her beloved artist is only ONE in a life time, we can easily get a bit... wild :wild: ... or faint :swoon: ... or get strange....:tease: That must be scary too for the poor guy.

I never had a chance to do this for Michael (no way living a few hours from Antártica), but I did do this years ago with another of my favourite singers. I went to all the concerts he did in Chile during Summer, it was just me, myself and I and by the end, I was part of the "circle". I knew the band, they would talk to me and and even told me where they would be so I could join them. I didn't, that was not part of what I wanted :)

But yes, you become familiar with them, but mainly because you behave.

I wish I could have joined the fans who had the chance to do this and actually meet Michael. Moony knows aahhhh... how I wish I could have had my chance... Michael would have fallen for my charm.... (yeah right....)

Good thread!

Indeed, after HIStory.
During Dangerous it was veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyyy difficult to get close to him. At least in my country. I know but a handful of people who had the chance to approach him while in my country, and just because they were either working with / for him, or because they were friends/relatives of those working for/with MJ. And of course, the children he visited at hospitals.

Moon!!!!
Would you join my secret society or not? :tease:
