hi there,i was just wondering if anybody knows about how you can play your wii games with somebody else that has a wii concole,
my daughter recently got a wii concole ,and her friend also has one at her house, can you set it up where they can play a game like wii sport while her friend is at her house and we are at our house,if so how do you do it,i believe if you have both swapped concole codes and registered each other as friends you should be able to do it,but i don.t know how,
also it would be great if anyone here wants to add each other to their wii concole,we could swap codes by pm if its allowed, thanks in advance any advice would be great.:)

i would suggest trying a gamers forum or a wii forum... tho someone here may no something...

cool. I hope mine arrives. I bought one on ebay with wii fit and it was supposed to be here before Christmas but it's not. It was so much money and now the guy is kicked off of ebay so things don't look good.

Really sucks.. aw well. Lesson learned?

My 14yr old son has a Wii and a PS3. He goes online playing with other people all the time. I just don't know how he does it.. lol. I haven't made time to play either..

thanks guys for all your responses, this is what i found out so far, games that have been out for a while, for example wii sport, wii play are not wi-fi compatible, this means they cannot be played over an internet connection, you have to have an internet connection,if you need any help setting up your wii to the internet pm me,
anyway more up to date games may be wi-fi compatible you can tell if they are cause they will have this sticker on them.

i havn,t any games yet that have this sticker on,but i presume that when you put the game in on the game menu,it should give you an option, for example,1 player, multiplayers, wi-fi,i havn,t tried this yet,but i think maybe if you have a friend who has a wii concole aswell, and you are registered as friends, the game i think gives you a game code, then you tell your friend the code, one thing that puzzles me though ,if the other person has to have the same game,i will try to find out and keep you posted,
also if it all works out it would be great if we could add each other on wii friends,:D

Yes, U both have to have the same Wii wi-fi compatible game.. That I do know. We have a wireless router for our laptop. My son's DS, Wii and PS3 connect to that. It's easy to set up. It will search for connections and find your routher. Then you simply connect to it and enter your key. My key is a 28 digit combination of numbers and letters.

when we got my parents a wii my brother n i hooked it up to the internet BOY was that a pain. We had to disable the firewall, re-enable it, change settings... then we bought a web browser on wii for 500 credits so my parents can check their email and browse the internet on their MASSIVE tv LOL
as a joke my bro went on a porno site to see what it'd look like on a 50 inch TV lol

All sounds way too complicated for me  LOL! I doubt many of my daughters friends would have theirs set up to the net anyways

its pretty easy to set up to the internet if you have a wireless router, but once it has found your wireless network ,you have to enter your wep key .and when it has connected to your router you have to go to the wii shop channel and download the internet channel ,it cost 500 wii point, you can either purchase these points online or from any shop that sells nintendo software.it not all that complicated, really,we already have to computers already in the house a desk top and laptop, but i thought i may aswell hook up the wii aswell,if it was capable of doing it,:Dit,s great i have got you tube up and its great watching it on the big tv.

cass how do you connect your ds lite to the router? .i can,t see an option on the ds settings to do it,

They both need:

1. Wireless Internet or a Wi-fi usb adaptor to put in your computer which will take the wired signal into your computer then convert and send it out as a wirless signal which the wii should pick up.

2. A Wired internet signal which you can plug into the back of the wii (this is easier)

3. A game with Wi-fi capabilities

My son don't have a broweser on the wii cause he got one on the ps3.

For the DS? I'll have to ask my son exactly how to do it.. He did it himself..I know it was just like putting the wii online. U had to scan for our wireless connection and put the key in also. It was easy though. I saw him do it and it only took seconds..
