Question about the "Bad" video?

Was the opening b&w sequence filmed a few months before the actaul video? I read somewhere the video was shot months before the single release? 1986?

I noticed it a while back. But I saw a pic of the b&w part in someones sig and noticed his skin was a little bit "darker" and he had shorter hair?

I heard they started shooting with Scorcese around October 86 - at the time he was also working on "The Color Of Money" with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise so the Bad film was done then and when he finished the movie they went back to film the music video in 1987.

He does look more "Captain EO" than "Bad " in the story part, you're right.
