Queen + Paul Rodgers - The Cosmos Rocks

Has anybody else picked up the new Queen + Paul Rodgers album, and if so, do you like it?

I'm not sure what to think of it. It's mediocre at best, it sounds really rushed and without any heart or soul. It's definitely not up to the Queen standards, but it has a few good tracks. I hate that they're associating the new album with Queen, though; Queen never released an album this bad.

It was May & Taylors choice to team with Rodgers...therefore it is a Queen project. Freddie was a big fan of Paul Rodgers and Bad Company and many people (myself including) think Freddie would have given them their best wishes.

Of course anything they do without Freddie won't be the same. I like Rodgers and I like what I hear. I think it'll be ok.

Well, talking about rocking, while I don't think the CD rocks... I think its bland, average and boring, they still rock when they hit the stage and so did Zurich, here are some of my pics from yesterday's Queen + Paul Rodgers concert in Zurich:

I'm so fucking happy with those damn pictures and they are not even the best ones... just a selection! Usually my concert pics turn out like crap and blurred due to my crappy camera, but I had borrowed a different one last week and while it didn't work to well at the Stevie Wonder concert, due to me sitting too far away, it worked perfectly yesterday! :-D All that needs to be adjusted is a bit of the brightness! I'll probably post some more pics later... I went crazy yesterday and took over 400! :-o :-? ;-)

Wow cool photos this album is a bit of a mixture for me yes it is Queen but there is something missing that you can't quite put your finger on and as for Queen releasing bad records does Hot Space ring any bells?

But seriously I hope for a better album then this one if they decide to do something else

I have nothing but respect for Brian May and Roger Taylor, I'm a huge Queen fan, but as shipoffools pointed out, this work is mediocre at best...not necessarely musically but it lacks the 'it' factor, that soul that only Freddie could bring, too bad.
