This is one of my faves as well... the video you posted has been removed tho. Was it a performance of this song?

Push Me Away is one of my favorite MJ tracks of all time. This takes me back and reminds me of the time when I was a little kid in the early 80's....even though this song was an "old" song by then.....This song reminds me of those days. :) I love it.
 
I agree. Excellent song. I love it too. It's on the same calibre as Blues Away for me.
It's smooth and beautiful in spite of its lyrical content.
MJ's voice took on a whole other dimension after this era.
Might I add, and it's aaaaalllll good!
 
I found My Destiny Album after all these years. It was such a Powerful album and When I heard that song ,I cried because of what he was recently going through. It has more of a meaning now than just a love song. Yes ,People has pushed His loveones and Friends away from Michael .If these people hadn't been pushed away to see Michael has last days, He would have been alive today. All of His Slow love ballads are my faves. When he sings,he sings from the heart.

MJ is such an unusual human being..in that soul train video..he makes everybody around him, in that studio look so...regular.

and his voice..and the way he talked to the host..just continues being a kid..just got taller.....then, he sits and sings....just..unusual in such a beautiful way...angel voice..angelic..

i know it's not like i haven't seen him before..but i haven't seen this video before..and it's like it's all new to me.

not putting down the idea of being regular at all...

i'm just...MJ is..

what can i say...otherworldly..i'm just glad i experienced this..

what's most impressive is his song i.q. his sonic i.q.

his arrangement i.q. producer i.q. you can tell that he doesn't have anything to do with a song, whether he just sings on it, or writes it, unless it gets his personal seal of approval. an i.q. that allows him to reach more of the masses, than any other. able to reach the song i.q. sensitivity hunger in each of us, better than any other.

Gosh, I bought Destiny at a resale shop bout a year ago. It was in my CD player for a month before i took it out. Even though there are a lot of great fast/disco songs, I listened to it for the slower numbers like Push Me Away, Bless His Soul and That's What You Get (For Being Polite).


DuranDuran, the video with the girls dancing....where is that from? I really thought it fit the song extremely well! Thank you for that find.

It's called Vespers by Alvin Ailey. You should be able to find it on Youtube.
