this is a sensitive subject for me. and it's clear, that i think my timing is right.

question is, why would Michael Jackson hire an attorney so that that employee of his would reveal sensitive info about him? that doesn't make sense. MJ would fire him.

so that employees job is to protect Michael on ALL levels.

TMez did that.

we are no wiser about MJ's finances than we ever were. in other words, we're not wise about them at all.

if MJ wants you to know something, he will tell you.
that's elementary.

there's nothing hard about that.

i believe that there are people here who take advantage of their position to cross that line.

and i'm put in a tenuous position, because if i call them on it, i'm the bad guy, and i get in trouble.

i'll boldly say that i have what it takes to be a mod, on one level, because i don't pretend to know Michael Jackson. i go by his word, and by his word, only about things in his life, and i don't go beyond that. and i would go all out to protect that principle. but other than that, i don't have what it takes to be a mod, so i don't go that route. and because i'm not a mod, if i get angry and keep going about how people shouldn't cross that line, and i'm not a mod, i'm in the lesser positiion.

it shouldn't have to be about who is a mod and who is not a mod, when it comes to not crossing the line about what you think you know about Michael. to me, it's no different than the stalkers that have been making trouble on here, recently.

i mean..how do you know about who MJ's lovers are?
how do you really know the most minute details of his finances? why would Michael be boneheaded enough to reveal all that, in this world? he's smarter than that, and he proves it, daily. he protects that info like he protects his kids. certainly there are a lot of attempted wily coyotes who try and get him to reveal what he refuses to reveal, in courts and stuff. but they have been failures at it. no two people ever get their stories straight about his private affairs, anymore than the arvisos got their stories straight about their accusations.

if u claim to know MJ better than he knows himself, how are u any different from those that took advantage of peeps in the love in the dark thread?

there are plenty of people pm ing me who agree with me, and appreciate where i am coming from. obviously, i'm not gunna reveal who they are.

if i ever have to leave this site, i can hold up my head as to the reasons why. i love being here, simply cus i love bouncing about MJ off other fans' chests. i don't wanna be alone in that. i'm a fan of his.

please don't take advantage of me. i respect everyone here. all i ask is that you respect me too. and respect MJ, too.

i would like to think that everyone here knows that being a moderator on this site doesn't magically give someone the power to be inside Michael Jackson's skin.

vncwilliam, clearly you are upset, but I'm not sure of the exact purpose of your post? If you want to elaborate, I suggest you PM me or any staff?

One thing I hope you and everyone understands is that the Support Forum is the one place on the board that is designed to be free of arguments. It is a location where everyone should feel safe. That includes you, but also others. As far as I know, you ARE respected. If there are arguments that are of a personal nature, those should occur in the PM format and not infect the board with negativity. That goes for everyone, and is for the good of everyone. Therefore if someone's post offends you, please use the "report button." And again, that includes EVERYONE on this board.

May I add if you have problems with a certain moderator there's always the possibility to pm senior staff or Gary... they'll look into this!
*giggle* one time I've even reported Gary himself... all is possible.

Maybe it's good if you look for a pm conversation with someone else from staff?

Throughout our lifetime, WE as individuals will and do come across individuals like that I refer to as the POWER TRIP PEOPLE that pop up in several areas of our lives...

In many instances; power, money, "being in the supposed know" makes many of these individuals feel like they are WAY MORE important than others...will say and do "Anything For Money", popularity, publicity etc...etc...

The greedy,self aborbed, self indulgence of superiority, and ugliness "always" shows its true colors.

Therefore, the answer to the questions we seek in this moral story...

"Always stay true to your heart...without having to be like the POWER TRIP PEOPLE of the world...Cause when we think about it...ALL the rest... will eventually fall right into place..!"

just like u assert one way, many fans feel differently. if a mod was supporting the other assertion, there's no reason to feel like they're bullying anyone or forcing people to think that way. it's their opinion.

and bolding of words is a way for people to show that this is what they're either referring to or what they want people to pay particular attention to. it's not used to be condescending...if it was, it wouldn't be a function.

no moderator here has been on record on this board saying they know michael jackson so where you're getting that from is beyond me. what people do and who they know on their off time is one thing but surely someone's not gonna go bragging about knowing mj. y would they? all that's asking for is to be attacked or used.

it's shameful to hid behind a label and i said, just keep it respectful, and mod status has nothing to do w/ a conversation and i would feel bad if anyone was intimidated by me or any other mod b/c of that.


and if u wanna be a mod, pm shannon or gaz and just ASK. it's that simple.

i obviously took out the rest of the post but i said before and that goes to all, mods aren't here to intimidate. we moderate when things get out of line. it's common when two or more people have a diff. of opinion. things don't always get said in themost pc way and sometimes people get their feelings hurt.

if you don't agree w/ something i said, that means ME, not mjjc, not all the mods, not gaz etc....it's my personal opinion. just like others that agreed w/ me, some agreed with you. if there's a reason you have a problem w/ a mod, either contact them or shannon and she can be the intermediary between and then if there's a further issue, go to gaz!

we're all a family here and if one member isn't feeling quite kosher, then by all means, don't be afraid to come to us! lol

we don't bite...unless u ask us to!

there is no lesser position on this board.....other than the board owner obviously and then the people who post. mods are NOT royalty, lol....

if u 'call' someone on it, in a RESPECTFUL WAY then you can't get in trouble. there's no rule that says u can't have a conflict w/ a moderator....did i miss that part of the training?

u don't get to claim u know mj by being a mod and again, i don't know of any mod saying they know mj or posting that on the board

i'm gunna believe MJ about MJ over someone else.

if a person is guna get caught in a lie, i'll believe the lie of the person speaking of themselves. rather than the lie of the person speaking for them.

how much would it piss u off if i believe the lie about u from u as opposed to the lie about u from someone else?

let's weigh those two.

all i'm asking is treat others the way u wanna be treated.

i don't think u could ever imagine getting along with me if i believe someone elses' info about so so def, over so so def's info about so so def. no matter what 'evidence' is presented.

speaking for me, personally...and i mean personally...the only thing that i believe that is 'written', is the Bible. i have enough experiences in life to validate that for me. for me.

i can imagine MJ spinning things. but that's just because i come to that conclusion, in a world where things need to be spun.

as far as having a problem with a moderator, and going to that moderator in pm...to me that's a hard one, just like going to another member in pm..because, for all intents and purposes, i don't like confrontation. it doesn't mean i don't defend myself. but i don't like getting into verbal knockdown dragouts, even in pm. and most of the time, they happen. i'd rather a third party moderator handle it.
 
oh well i always try to diffuse confrontation w/ asking someone what's wrong and why i sense tension. that's a great icebreaker. if they're non receptive or want to carry on a fight in a pm, then i leave it alone, wish them well, and so on. if the moderator or whomeever in question doesn't respond, then go to another but always g ive someone a chance to air out something cuz things always get twisted.

as far as believing a person's information on themselves versus someone else's...of course a person is gonna be more pleasant and positive. what person reveales the negatives?

that being said, when something is written and it's a court document that shows a judgement, that means it happened. again, not all court documents are true. i can pull up testimony of ralph chacon. he's a liar but it's a court document...is it true? NO but i can pull up the verdict, a judgement, against mj....it's not guilty on 14 counts...that's true no matter how u slice it. there's different layers of truth on the same thing...just different aspect.

i've look through several threads and i see some fans being snippy but not overly disrespectful. i also see HEALTHY banter b etween members and that's waht we encourage. a flow of discussion that maintains respect as well as everyone saying their opinion.

not everyone is gonna agree and i would hate to think people censor themselves b/c a moderator has a different view of something. shannon loves ponytails...i don't...u think she'd ban me or infraction me if we got into it in the curl thread?

it's all in how u approach someone or tell them your opinion. it's bound to get a b it tense and irritating when people are going around in circles for no reason so that's y threads are ultimately closed. the purpose has been served, the topic has been discussed at length and 'to death'so then we can move on discuss something else.

but you should never be afraid to say your opinion so long as it's in a tactful way....and if u can't keep it kosher, then go to pm but never get brutal or mean cuz t hen it escalates.

haha and so am i!

a lot of us mods are intense for a reason! trust me when i say that it's not fun moderating. so many are timid, so many wanna fight w/ us, and it sux having to 'regulate' ur peers.

it's a burden when we have to do things like punish b/c we wish we didn't have to. it's extra work on us and it's not a nice feeling giving someone a warning. especially when people know the rules.

editing things takes time, sending pms takes time. and all that takes time away from us being able to view the board. it's been relatively peaceful around here so im glad for that.

when everyone gets along, the board is a better place and that's what's awesome. enjoying mj news, pics, curls or whatver, and this residencey that's gonna start

when we waste time in pissing matches, it's never fun and it takes us from the cool stuff and the fun stuff.

and trust me when i say no one really wants to be the big bad wolf. how we react is b ased on how everyone else reacts.
 
although i do have to disagree on this one thing:(people always going with positive spin). people don't always put a positive spin on their own announcements. tlc had no problem announcing they went bankrupt. neither did Barry Manilow. lol
 
With all due respect, please take this argument/discussion out of the Support Forum? There is a separate forum for staff complaints/board suggestions. This is a place for emotional support for fans, especially concerning Michael. Ok?
