Hi. Sorry, this is my first post (although I have been reading for a long time), so please be kind if I am not doing this right.

I have heard that in the US the cable news networks and BET will cover the memorial service, but I have not heard that any network stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox) will be covering the memorial service live.

Is there anything we can do to let those stations know that we WANT to see the memorial service live? It shouldn't just be on cable TV!

Do you have ideas for contact phone numbers or e-mail addresses? We should let ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox know that this service is very important to us and we wish for it to be shown live.

I found these:

ABC (would you send the message with the regular form or the news form?)
http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html?lid=ABCCOMGlobalFooter&lpos=CONTACT

NBC (I can't get any of this to work!!)

CBS (no phone numbers)

Fox feedback e-mail: askfox@fox.com
But that's only for primetime shows, which doesn't apply here

It is obviously very difficult to get in touch with these stations. Help?!

Do we know yet if networks will show the memorial? I hope they do, but I'll definitely call stations if it would help convince them.

I'm pretty sure most of the networks will be covering it. It will be a day that will go down history.

I would be completely shocked if they did NOT cover it. I suspect they will.

NO NEED FOR PETITIONS!

Tickets are at a premium to attend Tuesday's Michael Jackson memorial at the Staples Center, but there will be no shortage of coverage on TV.
ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment are all planning live coverage of the tribute to the King of Pop, according to the Associated Press.
Charles Gibson will handle the duties for ABC, CBS is sending Katie Couric, while NBC, which has no plans for live coverage, has set aside one-hour in primetime on Tuesday night for a special.
The wire service also reports that CNN will air the memorial on both CNN and HLN, as well as broadcast it internationally. Anderson Cooper, Larry King and Don Lemon will anchor for the main network.
Keep checking back here for the latest Michael Jackson news.
