People who suffer from Bipolar, Depression or any other mental disorders....

Well, I take medications every morning. I see a doctor and a therapist every few weeks. I try to take my mind off of it somehow, but mostly to no avail. But overall, I just deal with it and carry on. I don't really have a support system outside my mom and sis, but they live 2 hours away and they're still mourning the death of my sister's husband a few months ago. I don't have a family of my own or friends I can talk to.

So, in a way, I just sit in silence and let it flow.

It can be a really difficult disorder to deal with! Make sure you’re letting your doctor and therapist know how you’re feeling. Sometimes medication needs to be tweaked to get the right fit!

I work in the mental health field and also have my own mental health disorders I cope with, so I see mental health disorders from both the treatment side and the patient side. Make sure to take care of yourself and if that means putting yourself first, do it!!

Thanks.

I was diagnosed as bipolar in my teens, but none of the drugs I was given did much to fix it, so in the end I assumed I might have been misdiagnosed. My main medical condition is temporal-lobe epilepsy, which I take pills to control; haven't had a massive seizure in about 3 years. I also went through a very intense psych exam in 2013, after which I was told I had an inherent form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome.
