It means so much for me to be able to share my personal tribute to the man who was my greatest musical inspiration. I wrote this song for him, his family, and his fans. I channeled all of the sadness and love that I had felt when I watched the news come in of MJ's passing. And, I prayed that Michael and his supporters could speak thru me one time when I wrote and recorded this song. I was devastated when he passed. And, writing this song and attending his memorial service finally gave me some closure because I just didn't know how to control the overwhelming sadness and reach a point of celebration of his life... not until I wrote this song and felt the love flowing thru me.
I wrote and recorded it the day before his memorial service at the Staples Center, which I attended. I don't know if I can share this here or not. But, I would hope that among this community of supporters this honest and sincere expression will find a home. I am not seeking self-promotion or a record deal. I am seeking to share the beauty of MJ's spirit with his true supporters.... becuz it is his spirit running thru the world that inspired the creation of this work. If it can touch just one fan or MJ's family, that is a blessing in itself. And, in the spirit realm, I know MJ can feel this. It's so sad to hear about the fan suicides and depression. And, I really REALLY hope that this song can help some of you in our grieving process. I am not a huge internet forum person. I stay posted on my favorite artists silently on the internet. But, I had to join this great community and share my love and passion for MJJ, and I hope it touches someone. With love... Cyrano, Esq.
