An artist did his own version of this famous painting.. 'Blue Boy' - painted by Thomas Gainsborough in 1770.

An artist by the name of John Earl Entrekin completed this oil canvas in early August 2009 following Michael's death.

I thought I'd share this with you all, because I think it's very lovely :)
 
im not sure what i feel about this painting... Its disproportional... i mean the body of the "boy" is the same but he used Michael's head from the Vogue shoots.... I think it might look better with a different head or different pic... idk im not a person who knows art but that looks odd and off to me.
 
I quite like it except it looks a little as though California is burning behind him ( Reminds me of news film of the bush fires)
 
I love it!! He should have painted Michael in the Blue jacket he wore to Christian Audigier's(sp?) bday party.
