"One More Chance" Appreciation

I remember as a young 12 year old buying Number Ones back in 2003. It was probably the first album I ever bought by any artist with my own money. It was the CD that really got me into Michael. It had many songs from across all his eras.. I loved the inclusion of Break of Dawn (which resulted in me buying Invincible a couple months later) Anyway, a song that really stood out for me was 'One More Chance'. I listened to that song on repeat for weeks and weeks.. and still do today!

I think it's a very underrated song and is one of R Kelly's best works with Michael.

I adore One More Chance! I think it's probably one of the best songs he did during the 2000s, far better than Hold My Hand. I remember everyone talking about the video, and how we'd probably never get to see it...times have changed, I guess haha! I remember a while back, somebody tried to convince me that Justin Timberlake did the backing vocals.

Everytime I hear One More Chance it makes me smile. It is so full of hope and expectation - I especially love it from the last "tell her this for me" - I love the way how he sings it, the positive energy in his voice. This song (again) shows that MJ is a master of gradation.
Too bad that I can't always listen to it without thinking what followed - it makes it bitter instead of sweet.
