Earth-friendly rock maestros Trees on Fire—a band that I once unwittingly branded and jokingly disbanded—completed a follow-up to 2007's The Green Room EP. The group's manager just dropped by with a copy of the disc, titled Organica: Volume One. The group recorded the latest EP at Dave Matthews Band's Haunted Hollow studio. Thoughts on the EP later this week, or in next week's issue. Check back. (In the meantime, watch out for more Trees on Fire action at the band's Twitter page. And remember, only you can prevent forest fires.)
Last, why not check in on Dave Matthews Band's recording progress? A Twitter account that Weekly Davespeak identifies as that of DMB bassist Stefan Lessard features a few posts about the band's recording progress, as well as a message about a "Leroi" (Moore? Who knows?) and more than a few wine recommendations. There's also a Twitter user named "Dave J Matthews," but I'm not making any guesses until Mr. Matthews himself sends me an e-mail to confirm. Yes, that's an invitation.
