Yep. I am so sick of this. Stop using Michael to get famous. No one can get anywhere unless they are original! It's so frustrating!!

Is this Obee's first single? I see how he's paying homage to Michael. But, there are just way too many MJ references. From the jacket, to the dance moves, to the spin, to the robot, to the YANA style stage and lightning setup. I don't see anything specail about Omar Bhatti. For a first attempt, he should show us something that is unique about him. However, this comes across like a MJ impersonator.

Sorry for being harsh. I guess the problem with this video and Austin Brown's video is that they keep reminding people about how they are just water downed version of Michael Jackson. It's good to be inspired. But, they need to be more original and creative.
 
I really like the video and track. Omer does alot of things which are not in anyway related to MJ. This is his first major track I guess so I think its a lovely reference to his inspiration.

More power to OBee!

I think I've managed to grow a small crush for Omer. :worried:

There's nothing someting really special in this video and song, besides reference to MJ. Yes, Omer sings and dance not bad, but I can't say much more about it. He's good guy, and I don't think he use Michael's name and image to get famous, his inspiration by Michael is understood at all. So, we'll see ;)

I don't understand this. Omer spends 2 years reinventing himself as "O-Bee" :)doh:) and then he creates a new website called omerbhatti.com

He needs to decide whether his stage name will be Obee or just his real name Omer Bhatti. Unless he wants to be like Sean Combs/Diddy/P. Diddy/Puff Daddy.
 
He's a terrible rapper.

Michael never spent his life just trying to recreate other people in his videos and music, he was inspired by other people and things but he made sure to own it as his own.

He should stick to dancing, maybe work as a teacher or choreographer.

I like the song and the video. Yes when I listened to the song I was like "The song is MJ" But I'm just going to leave it at that.
 
I think we might be getting our knickers in a twist here...slightly over analysing the lyrics. I think he is inspired by the plight of his 'mentor' MJ and is voicing emotions that were relevant to MJ and perhaps to a lesser extent to himself (i.e the press relentlessy trying to make him the 'love child' of any given Jackson).

Omer's a good dancer, agree terrible rapper (almost Vanilla Ice esque terrible!).....I think he won't be knocking out any more MJ inspired tracks or videos.

Think of the pain we feel because our idol has passed away - I bet it's double, treble for Omer...to have lost someone who he associated so closely - so I am not entirely surprised at his inspiration. I'm just cutting him some slack instead of writing him off as another wannabe/using MJs name etc etc. I don't think he's any of them...yet.

If Vanilla Ice has made a career out of being a rapper, there's still hope for Omer. :lol:
 
Not really being a "rap" fan, I'm sure not someone to critique his rap skills. Eminem is probably the most impressive to me, so it's hard to compare or comment on the rapping in this video. I really didn't think it was all that bad, just not stand out good. The orchestration was the best part; his dancing "skills" looked okay, certainly not MJ level, but not bad either. After seeing his dedication message to Michael at the end, I could see why he may have done some of the things he did in the video. Sure, he could be using the jacket and some of the movements that bring to mind Michael, but was it done for the wrong reasons, or because he did it in homage to his long term admiration of, friendship with, and homage to Michael?

Not sure how much future O Bee has is the business, but I can't completely knock what he did either.
