CBS News) Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx has apologized to Paris Jackson after making "snarky" comments about her late father, music icon Michael Jackson.
"My snarky humor and sarcastic comments sometimes get the best of me," he told the 14-year-old via Twitter on Monday. "I sincerely apologize to you and your family. God bless."

Jackson's family, fans pay tribute 3 years later
Sixx reportedly made the comments on his radio show Sunday, the day before the third anniversary of the King of Pop's death.
According to the San Francisco Gate, Jackson called the musician out on Twitter, writing, "Heyy quick question dude - and this is coming from a huge fan of motley crue - but why do u feel the need to hate on talented [people]?" (As of Wednesday morning, this message no longer appears on her page.)
Along with the apology - which Jackson accepted - Sixx also invited her to come on his radio show:

On Wednesday, Sixx took to Twitter again to assure followers that his mea culpa was sincere.
"I NEVER [apologize] to anybody about anything unless i MEAN it," he tweeted. "I learn more about life through mistakes than non mistakes.Have a great day."
