New X-Files Movie Photos

[Dangerous Incorporated]

FilmSchoolRejects have three new photos from the still untitled X-Files sequel. The new photos reveal shocking plot spoilers (of course, all of the plot spoilers take place slightly off screen). For example we have a photo of Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and a team of bewildered FBI looking down at… something. And in the next photo we have Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) looking at a Werewolf… or it could be just a door or television, we don’t know because it’s off screen.



The third photo features both Mulder and Scully looking off at something in the distance while snow falls from the sky. I imagine that something is probably Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk having an epic battle in a snow covered landscape. I mean, that’s the obvious answer.

As a huge X-Files fan, I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. Hopefully it won't falter from the 'sequel' curse that seems to happen to popular movies.

It's known that the film is a stand-alone story, not tying into the overreaching mythology stories the series also did. Carter explained that with the new film "We knew we wanted to do something that wasn't a mythology episode. We'd kind of wrapped up the mythology, to a large extent, in the series. So I think, especially coming back a number of years later, the best thing to do would be to reintroduce The X-Files to its core audience, but also maybe introduce it to a lot of people who haven't had a chance to see it before, who were maybe too young to see it before. I talk to college kids now who were too young fifteen years ago [when the series began], and if you're 22 years old and in college, you were just a kid. So I think there are lots of kids who didn't see it. "
