Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' documentary is on its way to theaters Oct. 28, but ET has yet another look at this much anticipated film.
In the clip, the King of Pop is rehearsing for his performance of "Human Nature," and is seen working on his dance moves while coordinating with the director, Kenny Ortega, of the show.
The film features footage of the King of Pop's personal life, as well as clips of rehearsals for his concerts that were scheduled to take place this summer in London. It documents his life from April through June of this year.
Tickets for a special two-week engagement of 'This Is It' will go on sale on September 27.

An 'R5' (the often pirated version) is usually released by the film company ahead of an official DVD release and tend to be lower quality than traditional DVDs due to the way they are made - filmed with a telecine machine, no post production enhancement (video and/or sound), no DVD extras etc.
Apparently they were created by the film companies in eastern Europe so that they could combat piracy which is rife in those areas by officially releasing this lower-quality substitution for the final product and putting it on sale nice and early with minimal cost - beating the poor quality pirated 'cam' and 'Telesync' variety of pirated movies. Of course, that doesn't really work these days because instead of quashing piracy in Eastern Europe they simply provide a supply of an acceptable source directly to anybody who wants to put the film on the internet nice and early. It sounds like a ridiculous idea to me but film companies still do it anyway.
Anyway, back to the point. I would hope that Sony might hold back the R5 release and restrict the distribution of screeners to help prevent piracy but then again, if they aren't changing their tactics to prevent move piracy, why would they do it with TII?

A Scene Release Group had this to say in the early stages a couple of years back when R5 was first bought onto the commercial and pirate scenes:
From PUKKA:
Note on R5/TC’s
Over the past 6 months the major movie studios have been releasing retail DVDs early in Russia. They do this to stop the widespread use of pirated telecines (which were once very common). Lately however there has been very few real
telecines, most of the scene telecines you see are actually R5 retails.

R5 retail is rushed out by the studio, they are basically competing with pirates, so there is little to no cleanup of the film after the telecine process. So the main difference between telecines put out by the pirates is that the r5’s are done using pro equipment, professional studios and professional people. The quality of R5 retail is very similar to dvdscr’s, no time is usually spent cleaning up dvdscrs either.
The range of quality we now have is like this.
R1/2 retail > DVDSCR > R5 Retail > Telecine > Telesync > Cam.
Vhs scr and workprints, come around the tc/ts mark (obviously differs between rls).
