Now that's a book that we can touch Michael's palm print.
 
I just read the book about the Broken Heart Stone and its incredible journey. It is the original stone placed at graumans. You will not believe all this guy (Andrew Wilson and his wife) had to go through to get the Stone in the right hands . It was very suspenseful and even some unsavory characters and you worried about the stone along with Andrew and what would happen. There were many remarkable little miracles that surrounded it.'s journey. I cried reading the book. It was such a beautiful story, Andrew was also so kind to all the fans as well. He had great love and respect for Michael. There were many beautiful surprises in the book . I didn't really think it would be much of a story, just documentation but I was pleasantly surprised. :) :heart::
 






Only rare pics have already circulated of Michael originally seting his hand and footprints in the stone.
The writer had personally met Michael at Neverland but never got any pictures.



 
It is interesting that the original 'Broken heart stone' is (ahem!) broken (through the heart in MJ's palm), whilst the Graumann's stone appears not to be broken. I wonder if the copy stone is the one in front of Graumann's.

It is interesting that the cost of the copy stone appears in the Third accounting, as do the costs of the Graumanns event...although they are not listed together in the accounts.

The Broken Heart Stone at Graumans does have a hairline crack. You just cant see it in that particular photo. (above)

The Estate purchased the BHS separate from the Graumans event. The deal for the Stone was only made a few day before the Event was to take place. It wasn't suppose to be part of the Event. The estate just found out about it shortly before the Event was to take place. A contract was drawn up and the stone was personally delivered to the event by Andrew Willams on the very morning the Event took place. He even stopped and showed it to fans who were waiting to get into the event. He later watched over the stone as it was set in cement next to the childrens stone. The crack isn't always evident. You have to look very close. I think he said it showed better when wet. also dirt in the crack would make it show better. The picture above just isn't good enough quality to show it, But fans have seen the crack at graumans and have written about it on there blogs Facebook etc, and it does have a crack.

Now it is possible the estate had a cast of the stone made for whatever reason,(Just in case something happens to the original ) or maybe a future museum or fan event etc. The amount in the financial report could be the cost of purchasing and setting the stone along with having a cast made of the original but regardless the original Broken Heart Stone is at Graumans next to the childrens .

Here is a pic of the original stone from a 2011 article here about the stone. The crack is not evident in that pic either. You can barely see it. and only noticable if you have been told to look forit. Even the owner didn't notice the crack right off. When he first saw it he thought the stone was ruined for ever. then he realized the significance of the broken heart and how it gave the stone more meaning.

I do accept what you are saying...but at the same time I find it interesting that the Estate say that they only found out about the stone shortly before the Graumanns event (which took place on 26 Jan 12, I think). The stone was put up for auction by Nate D Sanders in January 2011, and there were quite a few mentions about it in the US and worldwide press at the time eg the articles below. (and also on MJJC...).

I guess the Estate bought the stone either at or via some arrangement with the auction house (eg if the stone did not meet the reserve price), as Andrew Wilson was the consignor to the auction, and also the person who delivered the stone to the Graumanns event.
The auction picture doesn't show the crack through the palm, either, so visibility does seem to depend very much on the photo.

Another Michael Jackson relic from 1984 is up for auction. Nate D. Sanders Auctions, the California auction house which sold off Lee Harvey Oswald's coffin recently, now has up for sale a 375-pound cement slab featuring Michael Jackson's hand and foot impressions along with his signature. The monumental piece will be auctioned off at Nate D. Sanders' Tuesday, February 15, 2011 auction.

The slab's bottom left corner is dated "6/84," when Jackson was at the zenith of his career, winning eight Grammys for his monumental album "Thriller." His left palm print features a heart shape design with a surface crack running through it, thus the name, "The Broken Heart Stone." He made the impression in June of 1984 for the city of Las Vegas for their Walk of Fame project, nearly 25 years to the day of his death. The Walk of Fame never materialized and the autographed stone along with Jackson's imprints was buried in the basement of the Riviera Hotel for over two decades.The impression comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Riviera President and Chief Operation Officer Mark Sterberns. The listing suggests the slab would be suitable for display at a restaurant or casino (something for the Michael Jackson gallery in Macau perhaps?).

The auction ends Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 5 pm Pacific Standard Time. Online bidding has begun and is currently over $8,000.

Capitalizing on the craze to stick stars&#8217; hands and feet into wet cement, Michael Jackson agreed to it 25 years ago for a planned Walk of Fame in Las Vegas. The Walk never materialized, but they found the signed slab stashed in a casino basement and now it&#8217;s up for online bidding. The owner is hoping for $100,000.

Actually the slab was found 5-years ago and was raffled off to a guest by the Riviera Hotel. He sold it to its current owner 2-years ago for an undisclosed price. California auction house, Nate D. Sanders, is conducting the bidding that ends Feb.15th. Â Like many cement slabs, there is a surface crack running through Jackson&#8217;s palm print.

The item is dubbed the "Broken Heart Stone," said auction house Nate D. Sanders, because a surface crack runs through a heart design within Jackson's left palm print.

The slab dates from 1984 when Jackson made the impression for a Las Vegas Walk of Fame project that never materialized. It was discovered in the Riviera Hotel basement in 2006 and raffled-off to a guest, who in turn sold it for an undisclosed sum to its current owner in 2009.Coincidentally the consignor, Andy Wilson of Santa Maria, Calif., was an acquaintance of Jackson's, and bought it with the star's blessing.
Sanders told Reuters on Wednesday that the slab could sell for more than $100,000.

You should read the book. :) The Estate didn't say anything about when they took possession. It was Andrew Wilson the owner of the stone said in his book that he finally was able to contact the Estate Just a few days before the event and a contract was drawn up then. It was a last minute thing. He was trying to reach the Estate for some time but had no contacts to do that..

The Estate had no contact with the auction house. It was pulled from the auction the year before because it didn't meet the required minimum bid. Wilson was looking for someone that could take possession and get the stone somewhere safe where it could be seen. He also turned down a offer from the middle east because he wanted to stay here in the USA where it belonged. He also turned down deals from other shady characters.

Even Graumans had rudely turned him down the year before when he asked it they wanted to purchase it. It was like they wanted nothing to do with Michael and he was very upset with them. When he found out about the hand and footprint ceremony he went back there and through them was able to find a contact to the Estate. A deal was drawn up and he was very happy to finally place it in their possession. and have it honored properly at the Hand and footprint ceremony. It was better then he ever dreamed would happen :) Even a miracle for the fans
