Ok, I need some help.

First -obviously- I don't know that much about LPs, that's why I need some help to show me the differences.

I recently bought OTW Vinyl LP on Amazon as used article. Judging from the picture I assumed it's the album, as well as because of the mention "LP" (Long-Play).

When it arrived, it was the single and wrong cover too.

So I asked the customer service if there are differences - and they didn't answer my question specific enough - actually they just repeated what was said in the description "Vinyl LP".

That's why I need your help. Is a vinyl single also called LP and the difference can be made by the inches information? Or is a LP simply an album and the guy has send me the absolute wrong record?

Thank you :flowers:

Hi, You should have received the album, LP does stand for 'Long Play' and usually is 12 inch record, and play at 33.3 rpm, most albums are LP format. Did you recieve a 7 inch single or 12 inch single, normally 12 inch single is sometimes classed as EP, which contains about 4-5 songs.

I think you should be entilted your money back or maybe had the wrong item sent to you.

Aaaw good to know :)

Well, the single he sent me was the small one (one song on each side), so I guess it's the 7 inch one since a LP has 12 inch? Did I understand it correctly?
