My videos gone, please help (B2B Videos)

Hey everyone, i am praying that some of you remember the videos Ive posted. I have lost them all. My hard drive was knocked off the table by someone in my college and it refuses to work now. All I have is a dvd copy of my video documentary, all the B2B videos I made are gone. Im looking for anyone who has downloaded some or perhaps all the vids ive posted, there were 38 in total. I'll try and get all of their names but I need your help. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I am in such a panic because they are so much more important to me now Michael has passed and I cant lose them! :(

Can't help you with your video's, but have you tried everything to save your harddrive?
If you screw it open, there is probably a normal harddrive inside of the case which you can use as an internal drive for your pc.

I think the power suply or something is broken.
If it is the harddrive itself, then there are still ways to get your data off of it.
 
im not so sure, when its plugged in it does nothing, no sound, noise or starting up hints at all. Its a solid metal casing too so I cant unscrew it, and data recovery is well beyond my means at the moment, a guy at the college said it can be hundreds of pounds. Im so saddened by this, you really dont know what you have til its gone! :(
 
omg that sucks ! I only have very few 2 or 3 my friend, i will try to upload right away !

Ow, when you don't hear anything at all, than it's probably saveable.
When a harddrive itself is broken, you should hear a clicking sound of the needle.
Can you post the name (brand) and serie of your harddrive?
 
the hard drive was over heating a while back when I bought it so now it is in a new metal casing that hides the drives make info etc, the casing is completely generic but solid. I dont know how it did any damage really, is it possible the drive has clicked out of place and that is why it isnt starting up?

Yes, I think something like that is the case or maybe the powersuply in the case is broken..
External HD's don't break that fast and powersuplies do, so I think the HD itself is fine, you just need to find some way to open it.
Don't stress out, I'm pretty sure the data is not lost.:yes:

If there are no screws or anything, then there must be a way to "click" it open.
They had to put it in there somehow.

In order to find more videos can you tell me the months and yrs which all videos were uploaded ? Maybe I have some few more hidden on dvds somewhere as I did not use hard disks back then ...And today is such a rainy moody day ...I hate the rain.

my dad has taken the hd to the shop, they arent having much luck when he last spoke to me, we are leaving it with them, I dont have high hopes because last time they identified the problem pretty fast :(
