Off the Wall was released in 1979 after his successful childhood career with his brothers in The Jackson 5, as well as his turn as the Scarecrow in the film The Wiz. Off the Wall, which was the precursor to Jackson’s mega-hit album Thriller, contains 10 songs, all worth owning for sure, but standouts are “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,” “Rock With You,” the ballad “She’s Out Of My Life” (jazz guitarist Larry Carlton performed on this one!), and the title track. Definitely, a must-own.
