[FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif]The mystery of colony collapse disorder continues, but researchers are finding widespread evidence that pesticides may play a lead role. They've zeroed in on a particular class of pesticide, neonicotinoids, for its undisputed toxic effect on honeybees. While these chemicals have been suspended in several European countries, they are now the most widely used group of insecticides in the United States, despite concerns voiced by the Natural Resources Defense Council.
