ECU Students Plan Relief Efforts
for Haiti Earthquake Victims
Relief is coming from all quarters; even students at East Carolina are getting involved. Today, members of the Student Government Association got together to prepare for a major campus drive beginning tomorrow. They are busy making up red ribbons to hand out to students and staff and they’ll collect donations for the Red Cross as well. This whole effort was spearheaded by Brandon Hill.
“I heard the song by Michael Jackson come on the radio called Heal the World and once I heard that song it immediately put me into the motivational mode to try to get this campus involved, try to get as many people involved,“ said Hill.
Hill is asking everyone to where red tomorrow in support of pirates for Haiti. The fundraiser continues until the end of the month and includes a blood drive Wednesday at Wright plaza.
