by the way in my opinion - I never watch it - it's a little bit silly, but Michael made his first live show performance with Earth Song there, that was a big moment, from that moment I became a fan forever, but as I said, by the way.

First the Tribute from David Garrett, a very talented and famous viiolinist. He is a classical musician, but also playing pop and rock. His website:

and this one is with the a crowd of much more than 1000 people 'trying' to dance the Thriller, the show named "Bet that ..." (it was a bet if it is possible to gather 1000 people in the city of Braunschweig dancing Thriller at this evening)

Coincidentally I saw a Youtube video today of David Garrett playing smooth criminal. he played it at a dizzying speed. thanks for the info!

Watched it as well. I wish they'd shown more, though, of the people waiting out there for 3 hours and dancing. It seems Thomas wanted to cut it off too quickly. Well... mein Gott, that was a l-o-n-g show, lolol...

indeed, this man Gottschalk is a "pill", yes, it was obviously he wants to cut just at this point, he doesn't like Michael, he made often such silly remarks about him, and this guy has had the honour to have Michael in his show, this was groundbreaking, and got the highest audience in the history of this show.

Yeah, that's what my husband (German) has had to explain to me, how Gottschalk is pretty full of himself and when MJ came on the show in '95 he stole the show and then again in '99 even more so. Michael came in and suddenly it wasn't his show anymore, but Michael's show, lolol :D So after watching the old Wetten dass appearances I wasn't so surprised how he wanted to cut off the Thriller dancers as best he could :smilerolleyes: Michael always upstaged him, as it should be, lolol.
