Maybe it would help if you included Michael's name in the title? Perhaps people think it's just rock music, generally, not Michael's rock songs? Just a thought.

For me it's just the whole remix thing. I don't really do them.

Actually, you reminded of a mash-up that I love but I don't think it qualifies for your thread. Metallica ft. Michael, mash-up between Master of Puppets and Who Is It. Works really great on the chorus, imo.
